True. So far what we've seen is only the preface, the real story is only just starting.
I don't like Aditya's inclusion, his character is the cliched run-of-the-mill sort, but he has been thrust on to us and I have to live with it🤢
The way I see it, there's going to be a track changing crescendo of sorts in the coming weeks.
Nirmala has promised nanu to find a groom for Sumo.
Ramnath has promised to shoulder the responsibility to see her settled.
Aditya has promised to make Sumo his mom's bahu
All three will work towards keeping their promise😉
Shravan has broken all old ties with Sumo, symbolizing the birth of new ones.

From the olvs it's clear that Nirmala has already acted upon her promise by asking for Sumo's rishta for her son Aditya. Ramnath is the key. Since this is a battle of egos, I would be very chuffed if he would steal Sumo for his son from under Nirmala's nose to spite her. A perplexed Sumo being forced to marry Shravan by the very guy that made her stay away from him! What a twist that would be😆

But Aditya is shown as the nice guy, so going the mass appeal way, I'm guessing he is going to realize Sumo's love for Shravan and filmy style, leave her stranded at the Mandap. Ramnath will have no recourse but to publicly coax Shravan to marry Sumo for Tiwarijis izzat😆 Shravan will be the secretly ecstatic but outwardly reluctant groom abiding by papa dearests wishes😆
Interesting times ahead.

As much as this is fully dramatic, I really dont want something this "Filmy" to happen on EDKV. I was hoping for something a lot more realistic. I know a lot of shows have done stuff like this and it;s enjoyable too when you watch it in that context. Those shows have huge long drawn out dramatic shadi sequence then Mandap dramas.

I seriously hope they dont do the same old cliched angle here too. Aditya leaving her at the Mandap etc? Ramnath forcing Suman or Shravan to marry the other? I dont know, but this sort of leaves me feeling let down. If they show it I will watch to see exactly how they achieve this. But I really did NOT want this show to turn out like all those other shows that cant seem to think beyond hate marriage and forced and MU marriage etc. It's so boring. Kitchen politics at the Malhotra house with Kamini and her BS? Preeti and Suman getting harassed by her? Please spare us all that. If I want to see all that I will tune into numerous other regressive shows, which I have no interest in, hence watching EDKV.

Hi Mandy,
I agree with you. I don't think that it will go either the hate marriage way or a filmy way where Adithya leaves her on the mandap and Shravan will come and save her. The plot has been carefully laid out now. All the knots are in place. But they will have to be untangled. I don't want them both to be forced in a room, with no other option which is what a marriage would do. Once the Preekar shaadi happens there will still be chances for them to meet. The Nirmala angle has to be solved. It is a very important part of who Shravan is. Love without trust is a mere farce. If the Nirmala angle is not clear, how much ever he loves and trusts her, there will be instances when he will listen to others and feel insecure. That should be out of the way, period. Same applies for Sumo. Her feeling of indebted to her family, that should be cleared too. That is exactly what this wedding is. She loves her family and is doing this for them but at the end of it their ehsaan on her head is going to be gone forever.
Shraman will have to start from the beginning.

Agree 100% with everything you said! +1 it. I also think that Shravan needs to solve Mother issues to be able to trust Suman and Suman needs to come out of her ehesaan uthara mode in order to be free to think of HER future.

Nirmala angle I hope will play out in the coming weeks and any Shaadi between Aditya and Suman will be thwarted. I hope that through the Nirmala coming back into everyone's lives angle, Shravan's brainwashing by Dad, which causes him to second guess himself and Suman will finally end! The tyranny of the mind games of Papa dear will end. That is the only way Shravan will see the truth. That he as well as Suman were being manipulated.

I wish Kamini will also play a part in showing Shravan his Father's reality and maybe even clearing Mother - Son MU as a means of revenging herself of Ramnath. In this whole premise there will be ample opportunity for Suman and Shravan to interact. No need for forced or hate marriage to occur. I wish people would come out of that one track minded mode and see something different play out for once. The ONLY way to get leads together is not a forced or Majboori marriage. It works in some instances, but in this I feel it will be let down. But let's see!

I agree but Aditya's presence itself is cliched, so what more can one expect? I hate the third wheel track in any show. Personally for me justice will be done if fate were to deal Ramnath a blow by putting him into a corner with no recourse but to agree to Shramans marriage.

Mandy,
I get u. .

I get the CVs as well...

I respect them that they hv atleast bothered to take audience's queries into consideration, n made an effort to reach to us.

I get their point of Setting a stage and setting the story too...

I totally understand their perspective.

My concern is more of inconsistency and dragging,
I expressed my displeasure last week, when things were going overboard with Self respect and ego...
And most of that showing a good aspect of their caring personalities n then going back to square one...

The story has not actually moved forward a bit from say 70 episodes ..

What if They hv realized their love,
What if Shravan has confessed to his father...

The issues remain the same. ..

I m.excited for the upcoming track but i only wish they move the story forward... N dont drag...

@ LeenaRG:

Yes if Ramnath has to agree to a marriage of Suman and Shravan it will indeed be poetic justice. But I hope they have a better idea.

Yes 3rd angle is a cliche, but then it was done well here. This guy came for a wedding and spotted a pretty girl and now trying to get in her good books. Happens all the time. My cousin came to my wedding and met my husband's sister and 2 years later they got married. So it does happen and though it appears cliched it is still realistic. It is a statistical fact that many people meet a future spouse at someone's wedding.

Aditya has walked into a minefield and the truth is he was needed in this narrative to bring it to this high point. Finally Shravan has lost faith in Suman totally and Aditya has played a huge role in that. This had to happen for the rest of the drama i.e Nirmala angle to play out. So I dont think Aditya is a cliche, he actually moves the story. Unlike in some shows the 3rd angle just keeps stagnating the show, and tries to become the lead.

Forced marriage is not something I wish to see on this show and I hope the creatives think better of it!

Mandy,
I totally agree with u on the Nirmala thing...

I hv waiting fr CVs to touch upon this issue fr quite a long time,

Cz it is the basis of conflict...

And it will be only resolved with this...

There so much scope of a very nice drama if they decide upon touching it next...

Starting from Shravan n Nirmala angle to how she snatched away his Love .. .leading to major showdown and realization about Ramnath's truth.. but thats my wishlist .
