i don't write on this forum but this post made me come out of my hibernation. 😊 your writing which is spot on made me read it twice! its absolutely fantastic analysis. Well written and thought provoking. The characters are grating on my nerves now. Things are shoved under the carpet and regressive stuff is being shown and I am hanging onto a thin thread of hope that it will change. I will get bored pretty soon and quit this serial the way its being handled. I am not sure if I can handle a hate and hasty marriage. Sumo and Shravan have not dealt with what is going on and they get married?

Showing Preeti and Pushkar relationship again and again to Shravan is just reinforcing the already nonsensical ideas he has accumulated thanks to his father. Shravan is suppose to think for once why Sumo is doing what she is doing and how her behaviour changes when his safety and well being is concerned. Shravan's yo yo behaviour is confusing the matters more. One day you can see that he believes in her and the very next day he is back to square one.

I believe in creatives to tell their story but the story is going nowhere and its all getting muddy. Either you stick to 1 plan and execute it or you change it. They aren't consistent with the story telling. If they introduced aditya then I expect the story to move forward towards Shravan seeing his mother and confrontation happening.

Bang on! Absolutely on point ! No one could have said it better. I am so happy that you came up with this post. I loved the nickname and analogies that give given each of these characters. Your analysis of their character sketches is amazing. Truly!

I loved this post. Though I disagree with Shravan being a misogynist. He is getting there but he can still be redeemed. Ramu kaka should go and take a hike. Damn him for ruining Shravan's psyche.

Its disappointing to see the show promoting regressive behaviour

Sumo is the one of the only ones in show who is what she is on her own..she should be applauded for her feat..but here most characters criticize her for being independent and having self respect..Shravan included

Just because she doesn't fit into their idea of how a woman should be - subservient..she is deemed wrong

@bold- come to think of it, Sumo is actually very subservient. She sacrifices her love,time,money for her family out of her sense of obligation to them. She just does it in her own Sumo style and it doesn't look like sacrifice to others.Except to the discerning Nanu, who can see thr' his selfish children & their partners.
Shravan & Pushkar got it all wrong.It's not the useless cute girl Preeti who keeps everyone happy , it's the prickly Sumo.

Glad to see you both. Yup I agree Sim that its Sumo who has kept the whole family together. No one has the guts to do what she is doing and helping out the family and doing everything she can. No one else be wrong except her most of the time. She is the one who should be talking to Shravan and sorting out her life and finally getting some love in return. The woman is deprived of that too. The only two people who actually really love her are Nanu and Shravan. But last night Shravan seems to be doubting that too when he said because of her ego she will be left alone!!!!!!!! That made me so angry... 😡 Its the same woman who drove at night to find you, you dimwit...I know the fans here will kill me for calling shravan that... 😆

Pushkar ko kaise preeti jaisi ladki pasand aa sakti hai..itna sensible ladka(..sometimes he also goes wrong with his views but he also talks sensible things at times) aur itni dumb ladki..seriously pyaar ache acho ko andha bana deta hai🤢

@ST &G - Been bit busy & away from IF.

Wonder whether it's beginning of the dumbing down of Shravan? Right now, I'm ok with Shravan because he had been a victim of teen Sumo's ego & pretensions. May be he hasn't realised how much Sumo had changed since then.

I don't know why they are infusing regressive stuff thr' Pushkar,Ramu & Sharavan now..Ramu was very appreciative of Sumo earlier & Pushkar seemed proud of her.

Pushkar has no option but to accept Preeti and hence praise her...as he is definitely not popular with girls! He had tough time finding a date for reunion party...had to settle for a married classmate for company who also ditched him at last moment...even Preeti once said...main pehli ladki hoon jisne tumhe ghaas daali...Shravan should not take his advice on girls...
