Shiv's poetry as recited by Sharanya in Friday 9th February episode
I am like ashes in a desert.
You are the prayer offered to god
I breathe and live for your sake.
Like a holy prayer, you are pious,
Sincere and graceful
My name you take in your prayers
I am a boat in your ocean of love
I am like ashes in a desert
You are my prayer..
The tone is one of humility, complete surrender of oneself before the beloved. Imagery is sacred. There is reference to faith, a belief in the virtue of love. Prayer is suggestive of a holy communication between two souls. Prayer, that which makes meek the lover before the beloved, yet exalts both at the same time. Shiv refers to himself as ash. Something that was but only its remains can be found.. that too in a place where very little survives.. as in the barren desert, dry , parched, thirsty for water. Finally he refers to the ocean of her love! which gives direction and buoyancy to the boat of his life... hamlet53 11.2.18
