I think Samrat is a major part of the serial, though he terrible human being, I liked the relationship they showed when his mum was around, when he was involved in the accident Tanu/Asha conversation with him, and in the bedroom later with his mum taking care of him, were classic episodes in my book, I've never laughed so much watching a serial like I did watching those episodes.

I feel after what all Samrat did, for example the injection to make Urmi lose her baby that turned out to be his child also. Wife beating plus womanizing, shows where they change the male lead he is maximum arrogant and insensitive but never the above... I think the CV's intend he shouldn't change to become positive, had they not brought Ishan for Urmi then they was a chance but not now.

Regarding TRP audiences are fickle, they watch when its good, despite having a negative character like Samrat was, it was still entertaining, now that the serial Urmi is finally getting her hopes for marriage realised, it becomes less drama more like positive closure right. I don't think changing Samrat to be positive would bring TRP. But thats only my 2 cents.

I honestly think mohit gives life to samrat nd this show...so they have to show different shades of him..I feel it wud be welcoming to see samrat changing realising his mistakes..nd in real life too people change
