@TM & @likarsh -I feel like you guys mostly said what I wanted to, so I won't write too much
Just wanted to say that despite Urmi crying ALOT in the recent episode, I feel like it's totally understandable in her position. I agree that Samrat might not be a bad person per se, but he's really unyielding but more so highly out of touch with understanding other people on an emphatic and emotional level. he just doesn't have that "people" quality, and even if he "lost" his personable self somewhere - it shouldn't be out on anyone else's shoulders to bring back that character. It would be a totally different scenario if Urmi knew what Samrat was like BEFORE marriage and took the responsibility of being a life partner with the patience and determination to help change him. She is more of an unwitting member in the plot. As for her crying, I am kind of glad that she didn't have those embarrassing and ugly sobs - that would have been overdoing it. but I think all girls can agree that they've teared up when they've been given or are facing a MAJOR disappointment. At this moment in time, Urmi is realizing that Samrat will be a far more complicated person than she first thought, because all her interactions with him are not being smoothed over by other people (her family, Ishaan etc) because they can't be around SamUr 24/7 to monitor all these interactions. On top of it, I can imagine her confusion because the highly kind and loving sentiments that she was receiving from Samrat (truly, Ishaan) does not match up with his behavior that she's experienced recently. In fact, I feel like it's Ishaan's words as well as her mother's in favor of Samrat that lead her to have these thoughts on what her interactions with Samrat will be like in reality (at the Sangeet, Suhag Raat)... from what she was given, those ideal and honeymoon scenarios are true probabilities.
I think Urmi is going to have an even harder time dealing with her situation with Samrat because in that household she is given a prime example of a kind and loving couple (her bro-in-law and sister-in-law), and then every time she's down either Ishaan will try to up her mood (maybe even her father-in-law) OR her Saas would rub it in her face.

If he tried to have his wedding on by hook or crook because someone tried to stop it from happening, then what about him?Did he not try to end the wedding when he accused Urmi on being upset with Ishaan?

We can make all the excuses and justification for his behaviour but the fact remains, he is a negative character. He only married Urmi to teach Trisha a lesson and now that he has succeeded, he is showing his true colors openly.

I cannot imagine his abnoxous reaction to his wife of 2 days when she tried to wake him up. The man was a real a*s and continued to be one during the cake incident. Too bad he did not choke on the piece of cake

I am truly shocked at the support his character is getting despite of the insults and degradation of Urmi's character as a woman. Even the most unromantic woman would expect some positive reaction and interest from a new husband. I recently said I have met people like Samrat in real life. I know say, I was wrong because even these people I met were saints in front of Samrat. This is only based upon the incidences starting from Urmi waking him up through the cake incidence

I believe that we will find out more why his character is rude and dominating. It is true that he is a successful man and seems like he has made it on his own can make him the way he is.
It is too early to say anything yet.

The Character is horrible but the Actor is marvelous, he is doing a great job, I liked the actor from before too.

I am trying hard to tolerate the show, because I expect all would be well in the end, but geez Samrat is horrible, I know men exist like him too and worse. I just really hope he does not get physical on Urmi, then I am done with that couple and the show as they are the leads.
