Chapter 66
Antara was found in her room looking outside to the window. Her eyes were full of hope and also a bit worried. She was worried for raghu. She was thinking to call him but she knew that she would make him more worried. So she just waited and prayed to god for his safety. She lowered her gaze and hold her tummy. It was just her first month. But just after some month her tummy would start to show the symptoms of pregnancy. She smiled wide thinking about raghu's excitement with their unborn child and his meaningless yet cute love filled blabbers to baby. She was happy and complete in her life and she didn't need anything else. Just the evil shadow of DM should get over from their head then everything would be normal. She talked to her momma and ishan just a day ago and all were utterly happy and excited with the news of her pregnancy. They wanted to come there and meet her but antara somehow managed to stop them. She didn't want them to get into trouble for her. Antara rubbed her tummy lovingly and said in tender voice, "Don't worry baby.. pappa jald aa jayengey." . She assured her baby as well as her own. A deep sigh escaped from her chest as the land phone of her room rang. She didn't know why her heartbeat thudded loudly with the sound of that ring. She suddenly started to feel afraid. Holding her heart nd taking a deep sigh she composed herself and received the phone.
"Hello, am I talking Mrs Antara Naik?!" a male voice said from other side.
"Yes!! But pardon me sir I didn't recognize you." antara said.
"I am doctor gupta. U took appointment for your checkup yesterday." He said.
"Ohh yeah I remember." Antara said.
"mam can you come by 1 pm for the checkup?!" doctor gupta asked.
"Today?!!" antara was a bit confused by sudden call.
"Yes mam. Sorry for the urgent call. Actually, for some urgency I have to go to Delhi by evening and won't be able to come back before one month. So if you can come here and do the check up it will be good for you. cause u have to wait for another week then." doctor gupta said.
"Umm... Okk.. I am meeting you within an hour." Antara said.
"Thanks mam. Thanks for the co operation." Doctor said and cut the phone.
Antara drove into thought that what should she do?! There was not much facilities in the village but she had to go for checkup once in a week. Kathrine told her that. And it was almost been a week they came from kotagiri and after that she didn't went for a checkup. But there was a small township area near that village where all facilities were available. Ajji also gave her the number of Doctor Gupta's clinic and she fixed appointment yesterday. Her appointment date was tomorrow. So she was a bit worried by getting that urgent all for checkup. Raghu forbid her to go out from the house but she also need to go for checkup. It was also important. Thinking hard for some moment, at last she decided to call raghu. she took her mobile and dialed raghu's number.
"Haan misscall bol.. koi problem hain kya?!! Apun aa jayen wapas?!!" as soon as raghu picked the phone those were his first sentences. Antara understood how eager he was to come back.
"Arey rukoo.. pahele meri baat too sunoo..." antara said quickly to stop him.
"Bata naa.. sun hi too raha hoon..." his voice was a bit irritated. He really didn't liking the fact to left her behind.
"Tum log puna pauch gaye kya?!!" Antara asked.
"Nahin abhi bhi raste mein hii hain... bata naa kya huya.. dekh jyada door nahin hain.. koi problem hain too apun U turn maar ke abhi aa jata hain." Raghu said like he would just come at her front.
"Aisi koi problem nahin hain raghu. Woo actually doctor gupta kaaa phonr ayya tha. woo aaj hi humein checkup ke liye bula rahein hain." antara said.
"Kya?!! Aaj?!! Par tera woo apartment (appointment) too kaal kaa tha naa..." He asked.
"Offo... Apartment nahin appointment!!" Antara stroke her head.
"Arey yaar... joo bhi hain woo... lekin aise achanak kyun..." he asked in confusion.
"woo doctor gupta koo aaj saam delhi jana [ar raha hain kissi urgent kaam ki wajah se.. iss liye woo kahe rahe the kii agar main aa ke aaj apna checkup karwa jaoon ki acha hain... warna mujhe ek week tak wait karna parega.. kyun ki unse pahele woo wapas nahin aa sakengey. Too woo kahe rahe hain kii agar hum log thore adjust kar oate too.." Antara said.
"Abey ajib doctor hain s**a. Mareez log apun hain, paisa bhi apun logon ko hii bharna parta hain... aura b iss koo Dilli jana par raha hain too apun koo hi adjust larna parega... arey doctor apne time ke hisab se chalengey kii mareez log doctor ke hisab se.." raghu's frustrated voice came from other side.
"Raghu shant hoo jaao. Zara yee bhi too socho woo humein kuch bina bateyein bhi too Delhi jaa ssakte the. Yee too acha huya kii unho ne humein waqt rahete bata diya. Kyun ki unhe pata hain baby kaa check up kitna zaroori hain." Antara said.
"Arey yaar... thik hain.. woo ruk apun wapas aatta hain... fir chalengey doctor ke pass." Raghu said.
"Par tumhare ate attain agar saam hoo jayein too?!! Tab too doctor gupta chale jayengey." antara said.
"Achaa ruk... Tuu ek kaam kar... machmach pakiya aur chotu koo apne sath leke jaane kaa.." raghu said.
"haan yee thik hain..." antara said.
"Thik nahin hain yaar... waisey bhi apun ko tension de diya tune... samhalke jana!!... koi lafra mat karna... Aapna khayal rakhna... aaur baby kaa bhi.. aur woo.. mere koo phone kar na... aur.." he was saying nonstop when antara finally stopped him. "Raghu, ,main samajh gayi... thik hain... abhi main rakhti hoon. Baadd mein baat karengey." Antara said. "Chal thik hain... bye!!" Raghu said. Antara cut the phone and went to inform ajji.
On the other hand raghu also cut the phone and looked outside through the car window worriedly. He permitted antara to go but he was feeling like it was not right. But if he stooped her, she would also get worried for baby. Tension was not good for her health. The car was moving high speed in curvy road of west ghat mountain. Puna was not far away. Just hope he finished his work soon and inspector madhvan could arrest daya mai there. Suddenly the scar stopped at the road with a jerk. "kya huya?!!" inspector madhvan asked the driver. "Saamne dekhiye sahab kitna bara traffic jam laga huya hain." driver informed. Raghu and madhvan looked outside and saw the huge gathering of trucks and cars scattered throughout the curvy hill road. they looked like a colorful serpent on the hill resting at the side of huge gorge. "damn it!!.. ab yee jam kahan se aa gaya!!" madhvan stroke the car impatiently. Raghu's worry had changed into anticipation. He was feeling an unknown fear in him. That sudden huge road jam inroad indicating him something wrong. It was feeling like someone was stopping him to go away from there. "Zara bahar jaa ke dekho naa, agar police ki gari koo side de de.." madhvan said. "Sahab, pahari rasta hain. ek taraf pathar ki chattane aur dusri taraf itni gaheri khari... Side kahan se dengey yee log." Driver said. so there was no way left for them rather than waiting. Almost half an hour passed after that. Raghu tried to call antara in mid but manjari picked up the phone saying that she left her phone in home. Raaghu stroke his hand in anticipation and called machmach. But even he didn't respond. "S**a karte kya hain yee log.." Raghu tried to to call pakiya and chotu but all in vain. His worry and frustration was making him mad. Inspector madhvan get a call in his mobile. "Haan bol.." he asked. Someone said something from the other side. "KYA?!!!" Madhvan's eyes were widened in fear. Raghu looked to his face and understood something wrong had happened. "GARI GHUMA JALDI!!!..." Madhvan almost screamed. The driver sensed the urgency in his voice and he quickly held the steering. madhvan ut the phone and looked worriedly towards the road. "eee kya huya?!!" Raghu asked. "Buri khabar hain raghu. Mera khabari kaa phone ayya tha. daya mai aur unke kuch log kuchi der pahele tumhare gaon ke pass wale township area mein dikhe gaye hain!!" Inspctor said in single breath. Raghu felt like ground slipped from his feet. "KYA KAHE RAHA HAIN?!!! ANTARA BHI TOO UDHAR HICH GAYI HAIN!!!" he said in loud voice. "KYA?!!! ANTARA WAHAN GAYI HAIN?!!!" madhvan snapped back to him. "haan woo doctor ne bulaya tha check up ke liye..." Raghu froze as he said those words. "Iska matlab kii yee sab..." madhvan said looking outside. "Sab uss lomri ki chal thi... humein wahan se door bhrj diya.." raghu feasted. His eyes were mad like hell. "Woo township area kitna door hain yahan se?!!" madhvan asked as the car took the U turn and speeded on the road. "yahan se too addha ghanta lagega.. par udhar gaon se too sirf 10-15 min lagta hain. Abhi tak too woo paucch gaye hongey... Apun log adhha ghanta se idhar kahre hain aur antara too uss sey pahele hi nikal gayi thi!" Raghu said in frustration and again tried MM, pakiya and chotu's number but all in vain. Raghu quickly called his other men and told them to gather in that township area.
"EE GARI JALDI CHAALA NAA.." Raghu said in frustration.
"Thik hain.." driver said and increased the speed but still raghu was not satisfied.
"Eee tu hat.. apun koo chala ne dee.." He said.
Driver looked towards Madhvan. Madhvan nodded and driver left the seat. Raghu jumped on the driving seat holding the steering hard. His hard eyes fixed on the road and the car moved at the high speed through the curvy hill road. Inspector madhvan ordered his forces to gather on the spot.
On the township area near the village,
"Chalo.. ye raha clinic." MM huffed as he parked the jeep at the doorstep of clinic. Dr Gupta's name was written on the board at above. "Baap re kidhar clinic banaya iss doctor ne. Sahar kaa ekdum akhro chor hain yaar. dhundte huye kitna time chala gaya." MM said. Antara huffed and opened her purse. "Ohh noo!!.." antara said in sad voice. "Eee yedi kya huya?!!" MM asked. "Woo machmach main apna mobile bhool aayi ghar pe.. tum raghu koo ek baar phone kar ke bata doo naa ki hum log clinic pauch gaye." Antara said. "Thik hain.. abhi bata deta hoon.." MM let out his phone but he also let out an irritated expression. "Abey yee phone chal kyun nahin raha hain. Mar gaya kya?!!" MM said looking at the black screen and jerked that, "Sayad charge khatam hoo gaya hain... ee pakiya, chotu apna phone nikal aur bhai koo khabar de.." MM said. Pakiya and chotu let out their phone. "Abey..s**a!! iska too tower kata huya hain... network hi nahin aa re laa hain!!" both pakiya and chotu said in unison. "Abey tum dono jurwa bhai hoo yaa phir tum dono kaa phone jurwa hain... sari problem dono koo eksath kyun hote hain?!!" MM said in annoyance. "ee maachmavh bhai... humesha apun logo ke sar mat khao... aap kaa bhi too kaisa phone hain.. din mein har ghante charge khatam hoo jata hain.. 2nd hand market se liya huya hain waisey bhi.." pakiya said. "abey chup vey..."MM stroke on pakiya's head. Antara giggled at their stupid fight. "Thik hain... aab chup hoo jaon tum log... pahele check up karwa lete hain fir yahan kee kissi telephone booth se raghu se baat kar lengey... chalo machmach der hoo rahi hain." Antara said. "Haaan tu sahi kahe rahi hain yedi. Chal pahele doctor koo dikha lete hain." MM came out and all of them entered inside the clinic. Surprisingly there was no patient or visitors on the clinic rather than them. A doctor and a nurse were waiting at the reception. As they saw antara and others coming inside they flashed there toothy smile and moved towards them. "Mrs naik?!!" the doctor asked. "yes, am I talking to doctor gupta?!" Antara asked with a smile. "Off course... please come with us." The doctor and the nurse greeted her. Antara smiled and joined them MM, pakiya and chotu were also following her but doctor stopped them. "Aap log kahan jaa rahein hain?!! patient ke bina aur koi allowed nahin hain andaar. Aap log yahin rukiye." The nurse said. "Par woo bhai ne kahan ki humeshaa yedi ke sath raheneka... aap apna kaam kijiye gaa.. apun log disturb nahin karega.." MM said. "Arey nahin.. aap ko yagan rukna parega.. zaroori hain.. woo ek min... manohar.." doctor called for someone. A male attentive came out wearing white dress. "Jii sahab.." manohar said. "Aaap log manohar ke sath jaiyen.. wwo aap ko patient ki medicines aur diet charts ke barein mein bata dega.." doctor said. Still MM was hesitant. "machmach... main thik hoon tum jaon..." antara assured them with a smile. "madam chaliye... der ho rahi hain." Doctor Gupta said. "Jii.." antaara said and moved inside with doctor and nurse giving an assuring smile to MM and others. "Aap humare saath aiye.." manohar told them. "Haan chal.." MM said and followed manohar with pakiya and chotu. Manohar lead them to another room of the clinic. "Haan bata.. kya kahene kaa hain..." MM said. manohar suddenly locked the door. "ee darwaja kayekoo bandh kiya vey?!!" MM suddenly fekt fishy by manohar's behavior but before hee could think properly monaohar suddenly closed his nose with his palm and let out a spray bottle from his shirt. Without wasting a moment manohar pumped the liquid towards MM, pakiya and chotu. As the bitter scent reached their nose within a second, they started to feel dizzy and at the next moment they collapsed on the floor all together by the effect of that liquid. They used really heavy doze so that they could knock them down at very first chance. Manohar quickly moved out from the room.
On the other hand antara moved inside the chamber with doctor Gupta and that nurse. As she stepped inside, her heart suddenly thudded loudly. She was afraid all of a sudden, she didn't know why. she took a deep breath to compose herself. "Please come here mam..." Doctor gupta said. Antara stepped in and suddenly she heard a bang behind. Startled and scared at the same time antara looked back. her eyes became wide as she saw the nurse locking the door from inside. "What's this?!! why are you closing the door?!" antara asked her. the nurse looked back and gave a cunning smile to her. antara started to detect something fishy there. as soon as she moved back she also saw that same cunning smile on doctor's face. "what is going on here?! Who are you?!!" she asked loudly. they didn't answered but just laughed evilly. Antara understood that she was stuck. She rushed back towards the door to open that and run away but the nurse caught her hand tightly and threw her inside. At that moment, a cold emotionless known voice reflected on her ear. As the voice reached her, antara was grounded to the spot. she could never forget that soul shuddering voice of evil. She didn't want to look back but some unknown force made her turn around.
Daya Mai, with her evil presence and same cunning smile was standing just beside the doctor.
"Too akhir mayna, pinjre se bahar aa hi gayi.."DM just said those words and at the next moment antara felt a hand wrapping around her tightly and pressing a hanky tightly on her nose. The bitter smell made her nose flare and spin her head. Before she could understand anything she loose her sense. The nurse who chloroformed antara, left her unconscious body and antara collapsed on the floor. DM's cunning evil smile increased and she moved near antara's unconscious body with slow pace. Jagga and her other men came outside form the hidden places of chamber. "jagga... tu kuch admion koo leke bahar pahera de..." DM ordered. Jagga nodded and moved outside with some of men. Some stayed back with DM. DM looked towards antara with disgust and leaned down. She caught her chin tightly in her hold and jerked her head. Antara's senseless face twitched sidewise poorly helplessly. DM was assured that she was totally senseless. "Pichli baar jinda rakhne ki galti ki thi.. par iss baar nahin karungi..." DM'S said in cold voice as her emotionless eyes flared with devilish darkness. Victory was not much far from her. She would again show her real powers to world. She would destroy the girl along with her unborn child giving raghunath the greatest pain for his betrayal. No one would question on her power and possession. Everyone would remind that what would be the result for getting against Daya Mai! Her evil grin increased with savage satisfaction as she thought those words looking at the unconscious helpless face of antara. "Tune hi meeri barwadi ki suruwat ki thi antara.. aur tujhe maar ke main sabkuch khatam kar doongi.. har ek zuban ko bandh kar doongi joo mere khilap awaz uthane ki himmat ki hain." DM said greeting her teeth.
"Madam, woo... larki too behosh pari hain... kys abhi kaam khatam kar de?!" Doctor Gupta asked.
"Abhi nahin..." DM said with cold voice, "Pahele iske hath pair bandh doo. Fir issey hosh me laoon... Main hahti hoon yee apni akhon se dekhe apne hone wali bache ki maut. Mehsoos kare uss dard koo... isski har ek cheekh mujhe sun ni hain... tabhi mujhe jeet ku asli khusi milegi.." DM's face showed the savage satisfactory smile as she said those words.
"Kya aap kaa matlab... iska abortion karwao woo bhi isko hosh mein rakh ke?!!" Dr Gupta's eyes were widened in fear as she said those words.
"Bilkul sahi samjhe aap..." DM said emptionlessly.
"Par madam... usski too open surgery karni paregi... Usme too bahut dard hoga.. kahin woo dard ashen naa kar payein aur uski..." Dr Gupta said in trembling voice.
"Tab too aur bhi kaam asan hoo jayega doctor sahab. Yahin too chahti hoon main.. Mit jayein yee larki isss duniya se.. apni sari wajoot ke sath..." DM said looking hardly towards antra's unconscious face.
"Madam par..." Dr Gupta was still hesitant.
"Dr Gupta... aap ke pass bas do rasta hain... yaa too iss larki kaa operation kiss jiye yaa fir mere admi aap ki operation karwa dengey.." DM said looking back towards him. Doctor Gupta gulped and rubbed his sweat drops from forehead. she looked towards the nurse, "Sister, operation ki taiyari karo.." Doctor gupta said. The nurse nodded and moved towards antara's body along with doctor gupta. They lifted her ad moved inside the clinic. There was another room inside the chamber which looked like some operation theatre. There was a table at the middle and a bright light was glowing on its top. The room was full with machines and equipments for operation. Doctor Gupta and nurse placed antara's unconscious body on the bed.
"hath pair bandh doo isske." DM ordered in her hard tone.
"Par madam..." Doctor Gupta was again going to tell something but stopped by DM's cold tone. "Jaisa main kahe rahi hoon waisa karo..." her voice clearly indicated Doctor Gupta that it was his last warning. He nodded silently. He tied antara's hands and feet with the help of that nurse. "Eee larki...pani maar iske mooh me.." DM said looking towards the nurse. The nurse looked here and there in hesitation. She herself was also a girl. Though she was helping DM due to fear but her heart was not agreeing to do those kinds of merciless act to another girl. "Dekh kya rahi hain... Hosh mein laa issey.." DM said loudly. "Sister..." Doctor Gupta nodded silently. She also nodded and took the water pot from the table. with shaking hand she sprinkled water on antara's unconscious face. Antara's eyelids trembled as the cold water hit her face. she arched and moaned painfully on the bed. Tossing her head on both sides for some times, she at last opened her eyes slowly. Her eyesight became blur due to the bright light on her top. She squeezed her eyes shut for a moment and then slowly opened her eyes. soon her eyesight became clear and fear flickered in her hazels as she saw daya mai's evil cunning smile and face just some miters away from her. For some moment, antara was grounded to the spot out of fear. The evil dark eyes of the lady were indicating the approaching destruction of her life. But as she remembered about her baby, she felt her sense was coming back. She had to save the baby at any coast, she had to run away. Antara wiggled badly to get up from the bed but soon she understood that her hands and feet were tied. Still she tried hard to free herself wiggling on the bed and jerking her tied hands. DM's evil smile became broad as she moved near the bed. It gave her ultimate satisfaction to see her pray in that helpless state. She chuckled as she saw antara stuck in her trap.
"Koi fayda nahin hain Antara. Yahan se nahin bhag paogi tum!! Fass gayi hooo tum mere bune huye jaal mein." Dm said.
"Aaap ne mujhe yahan kyun layya?!! Kya chahte haain aap mujhse?" Antara screamed loudly.
"Antara.. antara... tum itni bewakoof too nahin hoo.. itna too tumhe smajh jana cchahiye ki main yahan tumhe khatirdari karne nahin layi hoon." DM said.
"mazak bandh kijiye, aur saaf saaf bataiyen ki aap ka maksad kya hain.." Antara fumed again.
"maksad too mera ek hi hain antara... tumhari aur raghu ki barwadi!!" DM said as the evilness flared through her emotionless eyes and hard voice. Antara felt a cold shiver down her spine which made her numb for a second. She looked towards DM's cunning smile for a while with her fearful frozen eyes.
"Barwaaad kar kee rakh diya hain tune mujhe antara..." DM walked round the bed, "Joo daya mai.. Mumbai sahar ke raste mein sina taan k chalti thi... Bhare bazaar mein kissi koo woo goli maar de too bhi kissi ki himmat nahin thi usske khilap kuch bolne ki.. Par aaj teri wajah se ussi daya mai koo bhagna par raha hain, chup na par raha hain police se..." Her face became hard in anger. "Aur yee sab ho raha hainteri wajah se... pahele tune raghu koo mere khilap bharkaya.. aur ab meri pole khol di police ke samne... mera gun le jake de diya uss inspector madhvan ke hathon.. tujhe kya laga?!! Itna assan hain mujhe harana?!!" She stated those words coldly looking towards her fearful hazels. "Inn sab kaa badla too mujeh lena hi tha antara... Kaise jane deti main tujhe?!!" DM stopped ad let out her cunning smile.
"Karne kya wale hain aap mere sath?!" she asked with a bit shaking voice.
"Woo too tu kuch der baad dekh hi payegi... Par teri tassali ke liye bata doon.. Tujhe to main zinda nahin chorungi yee too tu jaanti hain... par itni asan maut nahin milegi tujhe.. sab se pahele tere akhon ke samne tere hone wale bache koo marunga main.." as DM said those words Antara felt someone stabbed directly in her heart. Her face became colorless in tremendous fear.
"Nahi!!... nahin kar sakte aap aisa.." Antara said in trembling low voice. She felt like her all strength were leaving him.
"Haan Antara main aisi hi karungi!!" She said in her usual cold indifferent voice with that cunning smile plastered to her face.
"Aisa kyun kar rahe hoo aap?!! Aap ki dushmani mujhse hain.. meri baby ne kya bigara hain aap ka?! Ussey kyun maar na chahte hoo?!" She said loudly out of her breath. she was getting her strength back.
"Uski galti yahin hain kii yee tera aur raghu kaa bacha hain... Tum dono kaa ansh hain... Aur main tum dono koo iss duniya se mita dena chahti hoon.. tumhare hare k wazood ke sath.." DM said broading her grin.
"Nahin, main aisa nahin hone doongi.. main meri baby koo kuch nahin hone doongi..." Antara said loudly.
"Pahele khud apne aap ko too bacha le fir too bache koo bachayegi.. aur yahan tujhe bachabe wala koi nahin hain... joo raghunath dhall ki tarah tujhe mujhse bacha raha tha ussey maine bahut door bhej diya hain.." she laughed evilly.
"Raghu zaroor ayega... mujhe yakeen hain... mujhse kitna bhi door chala jayein woo... mujhe bachane woo zaroor ayega.." Antara said with confident voice looking straight towards DM's face, her confident gaze abruptly stopped DM's smile, "Aur jab woo ayega tab aap mein se koi bhi ussey rok nahin paoge.. Koi bhi nahin!!..." she looked everywhere with hard gaze looking towards the all face present in the room and again fixed towards daya mai, "Aap too Mumbai sahar ki sab se powerful person hain naa?!! Itni hi dum hain aap mein... Himmat hota too Raghu ke samne utha ke lee atein.. Uske pith piche aise choro ki tarah nahin atein.." she smirked as she said those words.
"Eee larki chup!!" DM's voice flared in anger.
"Kyun... Sachayi karwi lagi naa Daya Mai?! Asal mein aap kuch bhi nahin hoo.. Kuh nahin!! Raghu aap ka takat tha... uss kee kandhe par hath rakh ke uss koo gumrah karke aap itne salon tak raaz karti rahi.. lekin jab raghu koo sahi aur galat kaa farak samajh aa gaya, woo khud aap ke saye see nikal aa gaya.. yahin too aap nahin chahte the hain naa mai?!! Kyun ki aap koo pata th aki jis din raghu aap ko chor ke chala jayega aap ki barwadi koi nahin rok payega." Antara stated those words loudly and DM couldn't take that anymore. "CHUP!!! JABAN BANDH KAR WARNA YAHIN KAAT DALUNGA!! BAHUT BOL LI TUNE..." her face was savage in anger. "Doctor...aap khare khare mera mooh kya dekg rahe hain operation suru kijiyee.." DM said looking towards the doctor.
"Maaf karna madam.. yee mujhse nahin hoga.. maine yee sab kiya aap ki darki wajah se... par doctor ho kee ek jita jata insaan koo nahin maar sakta main.. hath kanp te hain mere.." Doctor Gupta lowered his gaze and moved behind. "Kiss koo kaam pe rakha hain maine..." DM said in disgust, "Iss sey nahin hoga.. Mohan tu aa idhar.. Ek jhatke see iska pet for de sath mein uss musibat ke jar koo bhi maar de uske maa ke koke mein.." Dm ordered her guard Mohan.
"Nahin!!!..." Antara screamed out of fear. she tried to slide down from bed despite of her tied hand and feet. Dm's two men rushed ti the bed and caught her. They pressed her tightly to the bed with their all force. She wiggled in their strong hold to get free. DM moved back and Mohan came towards the bed stretching his broad evil grin. Her right hand was holding a surgical knife which he took from the table. Antara looked towards the knife with wide eyes as it approached near her. "Nahin!!... mat maro meri baby koo... please.."she pleaded with shaky voice. she was all numb in fear. Mohan stood beside the bed and lifted his hand grabbing the knife, like a butcher who was going to butch his lamb. Antara's wide hypnotized eyes just continued to look at the metallic shiny edge of the knife. Was it really the end?!! Were they really going to kill her baby, the precious symbol of her and raghu's love? She was so worried about the baby that she didn't think for a while that the knife was also going to take her life too.
After a breathless second, with a quick sweep of Mohan's hand the knife came down pointing her lower abdomen.
"Raghu!!..." Antara just said in barely audible numb voice and closed her eyes put out fear.
Suddenly a huge bang hit her ear and at the next moment she heard the painful groan of the man who was standing at his side. Startled and confused, antara somehow gathered the courage to open her eyes and the scene gave her another lifetime shock.
At first she noticed the door of the operation theatre was totally smashed like some storm hit that just a moment ago. Then she noticed the man who was about to stab her, was badly imprisoned in the hold of two power full arms which were belong to none other than but Raghu. As soon as she saw raghu there, her every fear left her and she felt like coming back to life. her fearful eyes gleamed in hope again. Raghu's eyes were mad like never before. He was totally in his destruction mode, like each and every obstacle which would come in his path, he would crush him mercilessly under his feet. He was ready to smash each and every being who dared to cause pain to his antara. All who were present in the room were looking towards raghu with wide shocked face like they had seen their death in person. DM was grounded to the spot. "Yee yahan kaise aa gaya?!.." she just managed to say in barely audible voice. on the other hand madan was struggling hard to get free of raghu's unbreakable grip. his hands were locked around his neck and pressing harder and harder. Madan's eyes were popping put from his eyehole due to the breathing problem. Soon raghu gave a quick jerk in his neck and with the sound of breaking bone he collapsed. Raghu threw his senceless body on the floor in disgust grabbing the knife from his hand. The two men who were holding antara to the bed, suddenly got their senses and moved to catch raghu. raghu just swung around and gave two sweep of the knife pointing their throat. At the next moment, both of them fell on the floor while their deep cut on neck. Raghu didn't wasted a moment and cut antara's ropes freeing her hand and feet. Antara jumped up and crushed on raghu's strong chest crying her heart out. Raghu took her in his tight embrace pressing his lips deeply on her top. "Kahan tha.. lafre mein mat parna..." Raghu said with a quite harsh but yet so concerned voice.
"Sorry!!" she just said in chocked voice. But at the next moment antara's eyes fell at front and she saw DM pointing her gun towards raghu's back.
"Raghu!!!.." Antara screamed put of her breath and pushed raghu along with her. at the next moment DM's gun came into life but the bullet hit on the wall behind instead of Raghu or Antara. Fire caught in raghu's eyes. without wasting a moment, he moved back and saw DM was standing alone in the room along with them. Her two men along with madan was already knocked out on the floor. The doctor and nurse had already fled out of the spot. DM again pointed her gun to them. But before she could fire, raghu threw the knife in his hand towards DM. With a quick sweep, the knife hit exactly on DM's hand. "OUCH!!!" she screamed in pain and held her hand as the gun dropped from her hand. She looked towards her blooded hand with wide eyes. The sharp knife had damaged her right hand's thumb so badly that she was not in state to hold the gun which was just under her feet. The fresh wound which was oozing red blood made that totally impossible. Her eyes widened looking at her very first scratch on the body. That wound was given by none other than but once her faithful slave, her shield Raghunath!! She fell on the floor defeated, powerless and lifted her reddened eyes at front. She saw raghu's mad hard eyes looking back to her with utter disgust. The eyes which only showed trust for her all the time, was showing only despair for her. Her protective shield was now protecting that so called girl named antara who was standing at his side holding his hand confidently, like she was his biggest support, his life! The table was turned already.
"Tune mujhpe waar kiya ragghunath?! Apne mai par?" DM said in unbelievable voice. Raghu's hardness didn't changed a bit but became stronger. "Haan mara!!... Bahut pahele maana chahiye tha!!" he said with utterly disgusted voice, "Par kya karein... andhaa kar ke rakha tha joo tune mere ko.. apne jhoothe pyar ke patti se.. Joo aaj poori tarah se hath gaya hain. Apun koo ghin aa rahi hain apne aap pe ki tujh jaisi aurat koo apun aaj tak mai bulata raha!!" His voice flared with anger and disgust.
"RAGHUNATH!!!" DM screamed.
"Chilla mat!!.. teri awaz se abb koi nahin darne wala... haar chuki hain tuu... buri tarah se... abb kuch nahin hoo sakta.. haar maan le.. daya naik.. aur yee jhootha drama bandh kar!" he said in harsh voice.
"nahin... main nahin haar sakti!!! Daya naik kabhi nahin haar ti!!!" DM said loudly.
"Abey oyee... yee theatre nahin hain joo tera tragedy dekh ke log tali bajayega.. ab apna kaan kharap mat kar aur chup hoo jaa... warna apun kya kar sakta hain yee tu jaanti hain!!" raghu said.
"Tum andar kaise ayein maine too jagga aur admion ko bahar pahere pe rakha tha." DM said.
"Daya Naik!!.. Tu sayad bhool gaya ki apun kya cheez hain.. Khoon kharaba chor diya iska matlab yee nahin kii apun gadha ban gaya.. Tu uss gadhe Jgga koo mere se panga lene bheja tha... uske 32 ke 32 daat aur doso hadiya torke baitha ke ayya hain... S**a aaj bahut din baad jam ke piyatyi ki.." He said with a saticfactory grin. "Aura bb teri bari hain lomri!!" he said.
"Kya karna chahte hoo mere sath?!!" DM asked with questioning eyes. For the first time fear was flickering in her eyes. Raghu smirked sensing that in her slightly trembling tone.
"Apun kaa too man tha kii tujhe yahin pe gaar doon.. par mere se bhi jyada tuu antara ki gunehgar hain!! Aur tujhe saza dena ka haq bhi ussi ka hain.. aur teri saza usne paheli hii suna di hain... Apun log nahin marengey tujhe... Balki tujhe jail bhej rahe in hain... Uamar kaid ki saza mil rahi hain tujhe... Ab akha life jail pe sarti rahein... udhar tere koo koi salam nahin thokega.. koi izzat nahin rahegi teri... sarti rahegi, til til ke mearegi jail ke andhere mein.. itni takleef hoo tujhe kii tuu maut ki bhikh mangey fir bhi tujhe maut naa mile." He said with hard merciless voice which made DM cringe for the first time in her whole life. Even death seemed much better option than that. Raghu smirked looking at her state. Antara was right. It would be the worst punishment for a person like her to see her pride crashing down in front of her eyes. DM stood up quickly from the floor and was about to run away out but she was taken a back as she saw inspector madhvan coming inside pointing his gun towards her. On his behind his full police force was there and at the front machmach, pakiya and chotu were also there. Madhvan and his force just escorted them from the room and brought them back to senses. As soon as they saw raghu there with antara, MM rushed towards them followed by pakiya and chotu. MM and raghu shared a tight hug while raghu patted MM's back with a huge grin. "Tuu thik hain na?!" MM asked raghu breaking the hug. Raghu nodded with assuring smile and hi5ed with pakiya and chotu. "yedi tuu kaisi hain?!" MM asked worriedly. "Main thik hoon machmach." Antara nodded with a smile.
On the other hand, Inspector Madhvan was confronting DM. "Abb tum nahin bhag sakti Daya Naik. Iss clinic koo charo taraf gher liye hain humne." Inspector madhvan said pointing his gun to her.
"Nahin.. kabhi nahin!! Daya naik koo koi nahin pakar sakta.. Koi nahin!!" daya mai screamed like maniac. "Ekbaar charon taraf apne nazre gara ke dekh loo Daya Naik... bhagne kaa koi rasta nahin hain.." Inspector madhvan said folding his hand. DM looked everywhere and saw there was not a single place for escape. At her front there was the big police force and at her back Raghu, MM all were standing blocking her way. Two lady police came at front take DM. As they caught her hand DM's shoved their hands away. "ee hath mat lagana..." She said and moved a bit closer to Madhvan and said in low voice, "Kitna maal chahiye aap ko?!! 20 lakh?! 50 lakh?! Bataiyein.. kitna chahiye.." She said giving an indicating frown to Madhvan. Madhvan just gave a cold glare to DM and looked towards the lady police. "Lee jaoon issey.." he just said and the lady polices nodded. They grabbed DM's hand tightly. "ee chal yahan se..." one of the lady polices said. "Aaap aise nahin le jaa sakte humein... Agar humein giraftaar kar raje hain.. Too raghunath aur bakio koo bhi giraftar karna parega aap koo. Yee sab bhi har zurm meein mere sath the." DM said loudly. All the person present in the room get direct hit by her word. Only inspector madhvan was stable.
"Acha too raghu aur yee sare aap ke sath the?!!" mahvan asked with a frown.
"Haan bilkul!!" DM said with enthusiasm.
"Thik hain too humein unka sabut dikhaiye!!" madhvan said.
"Sabut!!!" DM stammered. Where could she bring the proof against Raghu?! She herself removed al the clue which were against raghu at past. Cause if they could reach raghu at that moment then they would reach to her through him. So for her own sake she removed each and every clue which was involved with each murder case which was caused by Raghu. She never thought in her worst nightmare that her wrongdoings would repay her back like that.
"haan sabut? Aap gar raghunath pe ilzaam laga rahe hain too aap ke pass koi sabut too hoga naa uske khilaf?!"madhvan asked with a frown.
"Sabut ki kya zarurat hain?!! main kahe rahi hoon naa aap se.. raghunath mere sath kaam karta tha.." Dm said in frustration.
"Maaf kijiye Mrs Daya Naik par aap ek criminal hain. Aur ek criminal kii bataon [pe bharosa kar ke hum kissi koo giraftaar nahin kar sakte jabtak humare hatho koi pukta sabut naa hoo... aur phir raghu nee kanoon ki puri madad ki hain aap ko pakar ne mein.. sirf aap ko hi nahin Mumbai ke kahin bare gangster ko pakar ne mein usne madad ki hain.. too kannon ki madadgaar koo kannon kaise giraftaar kar sakta hain?!!" Madhvan smirked as he said those words.
"nahin!!! App meri baat nahin samajh rahe hain.. dekhiye..." Dm screamed in frustration.
"Lee jaao inhe yahan se.." madhvan said.
"Aap aisa nahin kar sakte... aap mujhe jail nahin bhej sakte... Nahin kar sakte aap aisa.." She had totally gone crazy right then and those lady police dragged her out. The police forces also left with her only madhvan was their with raghu, MM, pakiya and antara. Madhvan smiled and moved towards them. He shook hand with raghu and the victorious satisfactory smile was playing on their lips. "thank you again raghu!! sachmein.. agar tumlog madad naa karte too sayad daya naik koo arrest karna kabhi possible nahin tha." madhvn said. "Arey aur thank you mat bol... aur haan tere driver koo sorry bol dena apun ke taraf se.. kya hain naa apun ki high speed driving dekh ke bechare koo thora chakkar aa gaya.." raghu teased. All of them smiled. "Waisey tum bhi solid hoo bhai... Kya bajaya uss dayan ki.. Last mein jab usne kahan tha kii bhai bhi unke sath tha aur ussey bhi arrast karne ka too apun sab log solid dar gaye the.. par tune too uski mooh pe uski baja di!!" MM said with satisfied grin. Madhvan looked towards antara who was standing silently at raghu's side with relived happy smile. "Tum thik hoo na antara?! koi chot too nahin ayi naa?!" Madhvan asked. "Main thik hoon. Thank you!!" Antara said. "Thik hain... ab chalo main tum logon koo gaon chor ke atta hoon... fir Mumbai mein jaa ke Daya Naik ki report bhi karni hain higher autjorities ko." Madhvan said. All of them moved out of the dark room. As antara cane out at the corroidor she saw the bright sunlight on her way. She smiled widely. She felt like those bright lihts were leading her towards the new future from dark past. She was stumbling a bit as her legs were still shaky due to mental pressure. Raghu caught around her shpulder giving her support. Both of them smiled gently looking towards each others love filled eyes. At last they came through all the obstacles and worries. The darkness was past long ago and there was nothing rather than bright light of happiness in their small little beautiful world. Holding raghu's hand and touching around her belly to give assurance of safety to their unborn baby antara slowly moved out of corridor and came out of the clinic. She looked towards the warn sunlight of the evening and she could find a gentle smiling face in that warm rays looking back towards her with so much love. "Thank you pappa!!" she whispered and felt like his pappa was smiling back to her.
