The Next Morning Antara slowly opened her eyes and blinked in the daylight. She took a moment to register where she was. Oh yes! She had gotten married yesterday and it was nothing but a mere compromise. Did she want this? A marriage full of compromise but empty of love and care? She needed time to think but she was already married and her thinking didn't matter anymore. Turning to her left, she found Raghu sleeping beside her.
She jerked a little as she saw how close his face was to hers. He must have shifted closer in his sleep, she thought. Looking at his face, her heart raced for a moment. He is indeed very handsome. Quickly brushing aside the thought, she headed towards the washroom to freshen up.
Dining HallWhen Antara reached the dining hall, she found everyone present there, even Sarah. She greeted everyone and sat near Sarah. Daya Mai said to Antara, "Beta, iss ghar mein aaj tumhara pehla din hai. Issi liye, rasam ke hisaab se, nayi dulhan aaj sab ke liye kuch mitha banati hai. Kyat tum banaoge?"[/center]
Antara nodded with a smile and went to the kitchen. With the help of the housekeeper, she made a sweet dish and came back. She saw that Raghu had also joined the family for breakfast. Antara served everyone and then again sat near Sarah.Ajji : Yeh kya banaya tumne Antara beta?A: Woh, Ajji, yeh fruit salad hai. Meri Maami kehti hai ki yeh main achha banati hu. Issi liye maine aaj yeh banaya. Ajji agar aap ko yeh achha nahi laga toh main kuch aur bana deti hu.DM : Arey nahi beta. Yeh toh bohot achhi bani hai. Ajji : Haan. Bohot achha hai yeh. Hai na Sarah beta?S : Yes. It's very yummy! Antu mamma, aap bahut acha fruit salad banati ho.A : Thank you Sarah. DM : Raghu, tum ne nahi bataya ki tumhe yeh dish kaisa laga?Raghu looked up from his meal and his eyes locked with Antara's who was watching him expectantly. He looked away and said, "Its good, really good." Antara smiled a little. She felt good that he had liked her sweet dish.After some time, Daya Mai started to make a conversation.DM : Raghu and Antara, main soch rahi thi ki tum dono ko kahi ghumne jaana chahiye. Raghu and Antara looked at her at the same time.R : Ghumne? But mom, mujhe office mein bohot kaam hai.DM : Office ke kaam toh baad mein bhi kar sakte ho. Agar abhi ghumne nahi gaye toh baad mein pending hi reh jayega.Ajji : Daya bilkul thik keh rahi hai. Office ke kaam toh hote rahenge. Tum logo ko jarur jana chahiye honeymoon pe. "Honeymoon!" Raghu and Antara blurted out at the same time and looked at each other with startled expression. They didn't know how to react at this. At that moment, Sarah spoke up. S : Dadi..yeh honeymoon kya hota hai?All except RaNtara laughed at her question. DM pulled her cheeks and said, "Jinki nayi nayi shaadi hoti hai, woh log agar kahi ghumne jaaye toh usey honeymoon kehti hai, samjhi?"S : Toh kya main bhi jaa sakti hu papa aur Antu mamma ke saath?DM : Nahi beta. Sirf aap ki mamma papa jayenge. Aur waise bhi aap ka toh school chal raha hai na, toh aap kaise jaoge?S : Par main jaana chahti hu.DM : Sarah beta, iss baar aap mamma papa ko akele hi jaane do. Agli baar hum sab chalenge, okay?"Sarah smiled and said, "Okay done!"Raghu was glaring at DM and Ajji for putting him in such a condition. They both understood his look and smirked.Ajji : Aise ghoor kya raha hai? Chal jaa. Tujhe packing nahi karni kya?R : Par aise achanak.DM : Plan toh achanak hi banta hai. Ab jao, jaa ke packing karo. Maine flight ki tickets book kar diye hai. Kal subah ki flight hai.R : Kya? Kal subah? Par itni bhi kya jaldi hai?DM : Tum ne who kahawat nahi suni hai kya The sooner the better'? You just go and pack your bags. Tension lene ki jarurat nahi hai.R : But hum jaa kaha rahe hai?DM: Goa. Hum ne tum dono ke liye hotel bhi book kar di hai.R: But mom-She cut his sentence mid way and said, "No more arguments Raghu. Antara go and start packing. You have to leave early tomorrow." Antara just nodded and left the dining hall. What other choice did she have anyway?RaNtara's bedroomAntara was lost in her thoughts. She was not at all interested In this honeymoon but she couldn't refuse Mayi and Ajji as well. She thought about discussing this with Raghu. At that moment, Raghu entered the room. He saw Antara, all serious faced and immediately understood her problem. Oh yeah! The honeymoon! This was his problem as well.R: Antara. WohAntara looked startled at his sudden entry. She got up from the bed and stared at him nervously.R: Tum ne bags pack kar liye hai kya?A: No. Woh actually, main aap se puchna chahti thi ki, umm, kya aap jaana chahte hai?Raghu stood silent for a while. He didn't know how to answer her. Then he decided to tell her the truth.R: Actually Antara, I'm not interested at all in going and you know the reason very well, but I can't say no to mom and Ajji. A: Yeah. I understand. Mujhe bhi nahi lagta ki mummy ji aur ajji ko refuse karna thik hoga. R: I know. So now we don't have any choice. I know this will be awkward for you but we have to go. Let's just think of it as a chance to get to know each other better. As friends of course. Antara smiled seeing Raghu all awkward and fumbling for words.A: It's okay. I mean it's good that we will get to know each other better. This is necessary in friendship. R: Yeah. So jaldi se packing shuru karo, main bhi start karta hu. We don't have much time. A: Okay!Soon, both of them started packing and within an hour, everything was sorted neatly.Later that day, dinner timeEveryone was having their dinner silently until Sarah broke the silence.S: Papa, Antu mamma, aap log kal kitne baje jaa rahe ho?Raghu didn't answer. He himself didn't know the exact timing of the flight as all the planning and bookings were done by his mom and Ajji. Seeing him silent, DM replied Sarah's question.DM: Mamma papa ki flight kal subah 7 baje hai Sarah.S: Papa, aap aur antu mamma kab wapas aaoge?DM: Ek haafte baad aayenge beta.R: 1 week? Yeh toh bohot jyada ho gaya. Ajji : Kya jyada ho gaya? Goa mein jaa ke thoda enjoy kar, aaram kar. Yaha toh har waqt kaam hi karta rehta hai.DM: Yeh aap ne bilkul sahi kaha Aai.Raghu knew it was useless arguing with them so he decided to let it pass.
The Next Morning Raghu and Antara got ready and came downstairs. Sarah was still asleep. So Raghu placed a kiss on her cheek, careful not to wake her up. Antara caressed her hair and gently kissed her forehead. Soon they said their goodbyes to Mayi and Ajji and set off for the airport.The flight was on time and soon they reached Goa. They went to the hotel by a taxi. The hotel was located at North Goa, in a place called Calangute. The hotel was actually a beautiful resort with coconut trees all over the surroundings. Antara was mesmerized by the beauty of the place. She felt very happy. Then they took the room keys from the reception and entered their room.A/N: That was the fourth part of this story.
