Serendipity An Accidental Discovery of LoveChapter 3 Antara was quite nervous. She was getting married tonight and that too to someone who she didn't love. Yeah they were friends but love, that was still a long way down the road. And besides, they were only getting married so that Sarah could have a mother. More than this marriage, Antara was worried if she would be able to be a good enough mother for Sarah. She looks down at her hands and sees the mehndi on her hands. The mehndi that she had always dreamed of. There, in the very corner of her hand, Raghu was written. She hadn't really wanted to get his name written, but Maami had forced her to. "Antara, your baarat is here," Rukhsana says, opening the door to her room. She nods and heads downstairs with her. Everyone is waiting for her to come down and once she does, everyone is taken away by her beauty. Especially Raghu. She had made the most simplest dress look the most beautiful. Raghu's eyes refused to leave her while she walked down. "Papa, isn't Antara aunty looking pretty?" Sarah asks. He looks down at her and smiles. "Yes beta," he replies. "Aunty, Aunty," Sarah says running up to Antara. She takes Antara's hand and leads her to Raghu. "Papa said you're looking pretty today," she says innocently. Antara smiles at Sarah and looks up to Raghu. Did he actually think that? Raghu smiles back at her and than the pandit calls them over to begin with the wedding ceremony. Once the duo had taken their vows around the holy fire, Raghu gently clasps the manglsutra around Antara's neck, making her his forever. You're doing this for Sarah, remember that. He fills her bare maang with the brightredcolour of thesindoor. The marriage was now considered complete and the two had been bound in the beautiful relationship of husband and wife for the rest of their life. "Maama ji," Antara says, hugging her Maama. He hugs her back, allowing a little bit of his love for her show. "Apna khayal rakhna beta," he says. Antara nods, her eyes filled with tears. She gives her Maami a hug and she hugs her back, glad to finally be getting rid of her.
"Rukhsana," she says and gives her a big hug. "Thank you," Rukhsana whispers in her ear. Antara breaks the hug and looks at her. Antara smiles a little and says, "I'll miss you." Rukhsana smiles back. "I think that we should leave," Daya Mai says. Antara bids good bye one last time and gets into the car with Raghu. Tears roll down her cheeks and Raghu feels helpless. "Are you okay?" he finally manages to ask. Antara nods. "I'm fine," she replies. The rest of the ride passes by in silence, both unsure on how to talk to one another. Upon reaching the Naik house, Antara is welcomed with open arms. Everyone seemed to love her, especially Sarah. Looks like my motive of coming to this house will finally be complete, Antara thought. "Antara, come with me. I'll take you to Raghu's room," Mayi says, taking Antara up the stairs. "Daadi, Daadi. I want to come too," Sarah says, running up behind them. "Sarah beta, you can stay with your mom from tomorrow on, okay?" Mayi tells her sweetly. "But I want to stay tonight," Sarah whines. "Sarah, your Daadi is right. You can stay with us from tomorrow onwards. Tonight you can sleep with Daadi, okay?" he asks, bending down next to her. "Okay Papa. But from tomorrow pakka. Promise?" she asks, holding out her pinky. "Promise," Raghu says, linking his pinky with hers. "Bye Papa," she says and gives him a kiss on his cheek. Raghu smiles and stands up. "Antara Mumma," she says running up to Antara. She gestures for her to bend down and does the same as she did with Raghu. "Good night beta," Antara says and Sarah leaves for Mayi's room. "Come Antara," Mayi says and takes Antara upstairs to Raghu's room. "This is your room," Maayi says, opening the door. The first thing that Antara noticed were the pictures on the wall. There was an entire wall that was devoted to pictures of Sarah. On the other side, there was picture of Raghu and some other lady, who she assumed was Raghu's wife. The bed was decorated with flower petals and the room was illuminated with candles. Mayi tells Antara to sit on the bed and fixes her dupatta. She leaves, telling her that Raghu would be here soon. Raghu walks in and finds Antara sitting on the bed. "Antara," he says. She looks up and sees him. She gets off of the bed and stands next to Raghu. "Uh, your stuff is there," he says pointing to a bag. "You can go and change." Antara nods and goes to change while Raghu sets up the bed. He moves a pillow onto the couch and takes a blanket out of the cupboard. "What are you doing?" Antara asks, stepping out of the bathroom. "I was just making sleeping arrangements," he says. "You don't have to. There's plenty of room on the bed. I'm sure we can both sleep comfortably there," she replies. "You sure?" he asks. "Yeah, it's fine by me," she says hesitantly. She trusted Raghu and was sure that nothing would go wrong but she wasn't completely comfortable with Raghu. A/N: That's the third part of the story! Hope you all liked it! :)
