There are moments which happen and there is just no other way to describe but say, "Wow" , that was something. Today's episode was not just some run off the mill entertainment , it was something very special, beautiful and pious. Hence the Rumi quote, destiny made Antara and Raghu to be together, DO Dil EK Jaan, there whole essence is themselves. They have completed each other. And now nothing can separate Rantara.
Take a bow CVs' we have a rollar coaster love affair , don't we, but today what you presented was magical. There was so much realness and maturity. The depth of emotions was so well executed and penned. The growth curve of characters and love is commendable. This is not just an attraction or a typical hate-love saga but it is about two souls which became one and two individuals who rose in love. You have made Rantara grow into a beautiful synonym of love itself. Hats off to all the work, imagination and hardwork everyone at DDEJ poured in making this episode so epic.
Raghunath Naik - A boy who grew up on streets , lived under the shadows of harsh realities and one who was always handed the left over things, what a journey he has had. A mother , far up from the sky, would be super proud of the kind of man you have become. He has an inherent goodness , his compassion to others pain has given him the status of Raghu Bhai and it is that honesty which has earned him all the hearts of his basti people. Lived under the shadows of his Daya Mai, he was a boy who struggled for that piece of cloth on his body , yet he never complained or became resentful. He fought and made his destiny. And he has been rewarded and how. Antara, a word by which he lives. She is who gave him wings to fly and made him realize what love is and how incomplete his life was without him. She is the true Yin to his Yang, the beat to his heart. Before her he was just a shadow who had no aspirations or even a sense of himself. She made him realize his heart, goodness and ability. She makes him be a better man. The moment, today, she said , "Mujhe Raghu Chahiye", that was it - his eyes filled with job, he let out a deep breath , he knew in that very moment that Antara is the purpose of his life. After a long time he had a sense of calmness envelop a body, she was his home , his everything now. Her unconditional love , trust and faith gave him all the fire. Till now he was handed over things out of charity and pity. His head bowed because there was a woman who put her hand on his head and that was enough for him, he couldn't ask for anything else, as he has got someone who he could place as a motherly figure in his life. He bore all the hate, envy and torture because he was indebted. A debt of a son to a mother. He has given all his life repaying it. But Not now, Antara is not something that was handed to him, she was meant to be his, she chose him and somewhere he has earned her love. He just cannot separate himself for him as she is within him. It is her lvoe which gives him the strength to fight Satya. So many years he has ignored the bitterness which Satya inflicted on him ,but the moment he declared that he wanted Antara , Raghu snapped all his inhibitions. " No, Sir- Not her. He would stand against all odds to be with her. He will never leave her no matter what. He has realized that if need be, he would stand against DM , his Godmother, to protect his love. The debt of 20 years is over. He would not bow down anymore. There is someone who lives to be with him. Someone who have given her all to his happiness. Antara is not just his love but she is his soul. There is no way in hell he would let her go even at the face of the darkest gloom. Raghunath Naik- This is what we call character , an ordinary guy with an extra-ordinary persona.
Antara - My memory fails to recall any female character on Indian television who was this confident, proud and assertive about her love. You make me happy Miss Antara Kaul. Standing by your man , you understood his apprehensions , doubts , yet you didn't just take them all away but you told him how there is nothing matters but him. How he is what makes you, you . Raghu's smile means a smile on your face. His pain is your pain. To articulate that and make him feel confident in himself and his love- you did something absolutely beautiful. She made him strong and alive. The way she realized how conflicted the situation was in that hotel and plotted a way out was smart. The little things from the cutting chai to lifting his collar, she made sure he understands that it is just he, Raghu, that she wants. There is this blind faith and trust that she disposes on him. Like he has become a way of life for her. The fact that she has no hesitations in expecting and expressing her love makes her so powerful. She looks beautiful now because he has filled her life with hopes, desires and happiness. She is living because of him. Daddy's girl has become Raghu's Miss Kaul. Her discouraging him from beating Satya was symbolic to what she means to him- peace and love, there is no place for anything else. She is slowly pealing the layers he adored for the world and DM and letting his goodness shine through. For her he will give his life and let someone live. She is his conscious.
They have come a long way, haven't they. From the moment there eyes locked ,they both felt a connection. They have gone through the round of misunderstandings , pain and friendship. They have barred their soul. Hence it was heartening to see a young couple talking about issues in such a mature way. Finally Raghu opened up to her about his feelings and fear and she understood every single of it. This is why this couple is special- they communicate , they are equal in this bond. Shout out to the writers for giving some memorable lines and etching this beautiful soul barring moment.
I don't want to talk about Satya and spoil the beauty of this episode. He is there to bring them closer , to remind them what exactly they mean to each other. The only line that kept resonating was Raghu declaring- that the final culmination to this battle will be by him- Foreshadowing or not. This was epic.
Very effective use of Ishan, MachMach and Ruku. I am glad to see a selfless character like Ruksana standing against Satya and soldiering for the love birds. She spelled it out Antara and Raghu have their own world. They are one. So proud of you, Ruku, stay this way.
So the deadly segments have shown Raghu with the letter, the partial truth is out. But does that bother me, no, because no matter what this Raghu can never separate from or fake his love for Antara. There is no going back for him. But he has to prepare himself to battle against destiny itself, the one who brought them together, he has to fight it to reclaim her. The issue is never about a marriage , it is always about a man winning back love from a girl who lost her father because of him. How do you deal with that, Raghu will cut himself in pieces to make her happy even if it meant makingAntara hate him. He would remove all the thorns from her path silently while she goes numb with pain. He would never back off , she would push him. As he said- "dont say , mein jaati hoon, say , mein jaa ke aati hoon". The constant would be him waiting for her always. He will fight the darkness for her. He will go against his DM for her. In the end they will come together and realize they are each others balm to every pain.
Whoever thought of this story, needs a standing ovation, there has never been a conflict so larger than life than the one in Jaan. A daughter vs a lover. May Rantara emerge as victors against all odds.
Excellent job by Ayaz and Nikita, they just overshadowed everything even Akshay's craziness. There was so much power to their emotions that they gave us hope and a reason to shed those zillion tears.
Love making, kiss or not, these two are already one. They have given their all to each other. Their purity and innocence lies in their togetherness and in the fact that there is something so true in what they feel for each other. And dare I repeat Rumi and say -"Love comes with a knife, not some shy question, and not with fears for its reputation!"
