@-svetalana-
Yes, in the end, it is all about the message. When an actor specifically says he joined a show for the message and then for it to change, would infuriate anyone. You, me and HC. It is fair for him to feel and react this way. I agree that I reckon HC thought long and hard about this. No actor would jeopardise their reputation and career for nothing. This is close to all our hearts and a fair fight. However, I am fully on his side no matter what. Even though I loved his character and would be sad to see him off air for a while, it is about justice.
@sundas
Yeah, I was remembering the same! Do you have links for that? Imagine how hard it would be to be looked at as though you are a hypocrite or giver of false hope! The look in those women's eyes would be enough to make me cover my face in shame. I love how you called it a "corrupted message"- that is the perfect description!
Yes, as I have no idea what that other 'princess' show is about, the only thing going on in my head at that time was "W*F?" I literally could not understand the damn point of such a crossover! It was so weird and unnessecary!
I'd also like to add that Indian tv shows have an audience on all ages. And it is important to remember there are young viewers too who are greatly influenced by these shows. Such a high percentage of youngsters take action such as eloping and suicide as a last resort after seeing it on tv and I am not putting all the blame on television- I am just stating facts.
To show something as crucial as a victim and her abusive husband will not go unnoticed by these youngsters.
What message is coming across to them then? And I hope I don't get any "Well they shouldn't watch it then" because that would be ridiculous. The point of this show was a message, and it should've played out successfully to the end with conequences, results and an outcome all clearly displayed.
