Don't you, 😛
Finally I'm here!😛 And before I start answering..I mus say fab topic foram!👏 Well ppl can say me biased as this is related to one of my very fav novel😉 but on a serious note..very hatke topic..and I simply loved it⭐️ Thank you , and we all are baised for this novel, aren't we?😉
Before I begin..jus wanna say something! Foram, here you mentioned "The presence of distaste for other indicates pride. The reason behind pride is hate or vanity" I slightly disagree here..as I feel one can have a sense of pride without hating someone generally and when it comes to vanity, mos of the time it is concerned with false prides! There are ppl who are proud with real reasons, but their pride doesn't bother other ppl unnecessarily! , You are absolutely correct, 👏I'm agree with you ,I'll incorporate this point in my answers.Well, now I shud shut up n start with the questionnaire😛 (sorry foram..u knw its my real bad habit..poking my big nose everywhere😆 and no one knows better than you😳)
So here we go🥳
1. According to you, what is pride, a sin or a virtue, a good or a bad?
Before I answer this..I wanna share the definition of "Pride" here!
i) The consciousness of one's own dignity! Yes, it reflects excellence of one's dignity👏
ii) A feeling or deep pleasure or satisfaction derived from one's own achievements! Yes, you should be ...😛
iii) The quality of having an excessively high opinion of oneself or one's importance! ...We can found this everywhere, i dono why but is this a call of time? , or we are being so unreasonable.
As we see in 3 different ways "Pride" has been described. So if I go by the 1st one..I feel pride is a very much essential quality that each human being shud possess! well said Anks, this is called self-respect 👏 for the 2nd one, acceptable till some extent if one can very well know where is the limit line of this emotion! and the last one is the most pathetic aspect of the word pride..where the person dsnt even have real reasons for being proud!
What I wanna say is..its very much relative..and the attributes of pride solely depends on the particular person/situation.Agreed , it's subjective in nature, changes with personality😛
2. Except 3 M's, what could be other reason that ignite pride in oneself?
Actually the definition of 3rd M is very much vast and it's estimated by personal pov. What I feel there are some factors like havn a better upbringing, good frrnds , an enviable life partner or a genius kid can be the one's! even one's country can set a sense of pride within that person😊 Yup , we should feel proud on our nation.
3. Are pride and prejudice compatible of each other?
No everytime..as again its very much situational, but yes pride can reinforce prejudice very well.. o.k
4. What is probability of your prejudices? Or How many times your judgment proved correct ?
I'm not judgmental at all..I don't make any opinion about a person instantly by judging him/her with my parameters! But what I do is..I observe a lot..and then decide! And the strike rate of my judgement (actually I prefer the word assessment more!) has gone better day by day! Till date I'm almos 98% correct with my assessments..so still there are situations/person about which/whom I'm not so sure and some remained like unsolved puzzled only..where I dint even get whether I was rite or wrong! I donot have any doubt about it, i can accept your assessment any time 😆
4. If you have read Jane Austen's 'pride and prejudice', are you believe that destiny is too generous with Elizabeth and Mr. Darcy, otherwise with this much pride and prejudice for each other, a love story is possible?
Yea..I do feel that. And I think Elizabeth n Darcy were meant for each other, that why the state of affairs were driven like that which finally cleared the air n got them closer! But one thing..though both of them were under the charm of Pride n Prejudice..still that was not all about their characters..they both were very much honest, up right in nature and had goodness in their hearts. So I believe these were the things that brought them together...where Pride n Prejudice had separated them for time being! splendid, kudos to you anks, you explained such a complicated relation with so ease, yes it's pride and prejudice that separate them and their honesty bring them together.👏
6. Justify Aarati's behavior towards her mother, Savitri at Bapuji's funeral?
I feel that was nothing unusual/abnormal..in a mental state like that..anyone can act like this! So, that was jus an odd moment..where she lost control and did that. And as we know..later she realized what she did wasn't rite n accepted her fault.
If we see from Aarti's pov..jus cant blame her..she was neglected all along and deprived of her rights! And jus bcoz Savitri is her biological mother..she cant be forgiven jus like that! she is very much answerable to aarti..she shud answer/explain first, then only can ask for forgiveness and expect a better term with her "daughter"!! You are being reasonable, i'll accept this😛
