From the very moment since Maheshwar disappeared Parvati tumbled on her lord's abandoned tiger skin throwing all her ornaments. "Swami can't you see how much your ignorant wife is repenting on her unwanted words?? if you don't want to forgive me then punish me in every way you want but don't stay away from your slave oh my master, life without you is worst than any curse , come back my Lord"..she kept on murmuring

When Mahadev reappeared it seemed to him life of Kailash had got a sudden pause, air was not blowing , tree leaves were not moving , flowers were not blossoming as a whole it was a suffocating situation all over the Kailash. He knows the weather is expressing Adi Shakti's state of mind, but right now he has to go according to destiny. He comes near Parvati and the sight made him speechless, Uma was wearing the same saree that she had in the day he left Kailash , but no ornaments except the Mangalsutra, her lustrous untied , thick , wavy hairs upto knees was creating obstacle for Lord's sight to fall on the lotus like face, he noticed her sobbing face had own beauty , Shiva lost in cherishing which until Parvati becomes conscious about his arrival.

"you came back my lord"- Sensing Lord's presence Parvati hurriedly got up to turn
"Parvati"- Shiva's majestic voice poured nectar into her thirsty ears, her heart skipped , overjoyed goddess ran forgetting everything to bump into Lord's chest, her tears had no bound, her tiny arms encircled his huge figure with all her strength , she surrendered all her being through the embrace. it seemed she is not going to release him ever.
Mahadev's heart melted, he felt what he lost is immaterial in front of this surrender , the tight grip of Gauri for once made him thinking that those bells, rudraksha and snake always use to create obstacle between him and her during an embrace, first time he was feeling glad being freed from those. His arms enfolded around her taking Uma into it
" Mahadev where have you been forgetting me swami?? why did you take so many days to forgive me??" She sobbed burring her face into his chest
Tightening his grip over her Mahadev closed his eyes in bliss and only then the dice given by narayana falls from his hand and hit on his foot with force.
frowning Lord looked at his foot and as soon as his gaze falls upon the dice, Vishnu's words echoed in his head
"My Lord you have to play again, you have to win back what you lost, you have to return in your familiar form , for me , for your devotees"
the words brought back his supreme control over himself. His strong arms forcefully disengaged Parvati from his body..
Being interrupted in between the embrace Parvati looked at Shiva frowning

"Arrange the board Parvati , we will play Chausar again"..ordered Shiva picking up the dice.

Shocked Parvati lost words momentarily and kept staring at Lord.."Play again??"she echoed weakly

"yes because i need to win back all those i lost, that's why i came back"..said Shiva with a straight face piercing her heart

"Oh he came back only to win the game??not for me??"..her heart sanked with the thought..all these days she spent thinking when her lord will be back she will decorate him herself and he came back to play Chausar!!!
"no need to play any more Swami , i am returning everything to you back right now"..she said calmly trying her best to hide her pain..

"Parvati i asked you to arrange the board i came here to win back not to beg"..Shiva sounded abnormally harsh in an effort to control his emotions..

"is this the way to punish your beloved my wife?/was not my remorse enough?but if its your wish then its my duty to obey" She thinks wiping away her tears

"remember My Lord this time you have to place yourself as bet this time, if you lose you can't even claim over yourself or anything related to you until I want, are you agree with this condition??" Last time tried goddess to change Devadidev's mind

Mahadev grasped to hear this condition, but then only Vishnu's silent gaze flashed into his mind and spoke a lot to him..
"you have to win back"..echoed in his ear again and Lord made his mind..

"I agree"

Parvati's last effort to stop the game went into vein , she painfully stared into Shiva's face which was then devoid with any expression..
"as you wish" she sighed and started arranging the board
