LOVE SO DIVINE

Mahadev opened his eyes,

It was time to go to his beloved.

Nandi, he called, we are going to get your mother back to Kailash.

We will go to Suchendram first. It will be my home till I wed my Shakthi again.

Shakthi sat with her eyes closed, feet crossed, the Index and thumb finger pressed together, her mind looked at the universe calmly as water mixed with turmeric was being poured on her as Abhishekam. She felt soothed.

Her Pavadai was deep red in colour, and davani a beautiful shade of green. Her devotees then adorned her with garland made from deep red roses. Her feet were covered with vermillion powder. Green and red bangles lay on a plate ready to be slipped on to her slim wrist.

Jaya and Vijaya who sat next to her whispered, Kumari, we heard there is a new bangle seller in town, his bangles actually lilt with music when they clink together.

Her laugh was like pearls falling to the floor, bangles make music, she looked towards Jaya and Vijaya.

Kumari, this bangle seller also foretells ones future perfectly.

Shakthi simply smiled. She was sitting cross legged on a stone, people mill around, taking in her beauty, worshiping her, taking her blessings.

She had a kind word for each every person who stood in front of her.

Her very look was enough to make any human happy.

From a distance the handsome bangle seller and his friend watched,

Sthanu's eyes were drawn to only one person in the huge crowd.

She looked even more enchanting from this close.

Those beautiful wrists need my bangles, tinkling the large bunch of the most beautiful bangles in front of Shakthi.

He bent his head towards her and whispered, take a look Devi.

She could not bring herself to look at him. Kumari take a look Vijaya was telling, look at the colours.

Parvathi he called without moving his lips, look up my dear.

He relished in her bashfulness.

He and Nandi made themselves comfortable with their wares spread out.

Show me your hands devi, let me see which colour will match the glow of your skin.

She shyly held out her hands. Her eyes found his.

He took one wrist into has palm. Without wavering his gaze, he slipped Greens, Reds and blue bangles; bangles made from the sands of a thousand lands, decorating her hand they seem have caught on a glow of their own.

She lifted her hands in happiness, he watched as she shook the bangles and a divine sound emitted from them, all other sounds faded away as Shakthi played with the bangles that her Shiva had beautified her with.
