On the issue about Sonarika depicting Parvati as being very childish, I think people misunderstand Parvati's maturity level @ that point in time.

There is nothing to indicate that Parvati was born omniscient and thereby mature throughout her life. She went through the same mental growth that humans undergo. Himavan had been told by Narada that Parvati was destined to marry Shiva, so he was exploring ways to make that happen. One of the stories that I'm familiar w/ is that Parvati, along w/ her friends, used to attend to Shiva, and Parvati would persist @ it even when her friends would break out to play.

During that time, Parvati's outlook towards Shiva was more as that of someone she serves. She didn't fall in love w/ him until the episode where Kama & Rati tried to spice things up. After Shiva toasted Kama and left, Parvati was crestfallen @ how Shiva ignored her, and then she started the tapasya, which involved mentally growing up.

Essentially, the Parvati who pined to marry Shiva was very different from the Parvati who decided to lash out @ the Devas & Ganas for helping behead Ganesh. The latter had all the power and wisdom of Adi Shakti - something that was earned over the thousands of years in tapasya. The former didn't, and so the way she's currently being portrayed by Sonarika is not out of place @ all.

So far they haven't shown her crying, but after Kama was burnt, Parvati did cry due to Shiva ignoring her & leaving. So it would be perfectly appropriate were she to do it then.

Note that my analysis above has nothing to do w/ whether I like Sonarika or not - I was just commenting on whether what she has done so far is a fair portrayal of Parvati. I think that so far, it is!

ok I admit that Sonarika is doing good..but I don't like her costume...everyone is saying that they don't like Maina's costume but for me her costume is much better then Sonarika's...y they gave her Saree?I like the promo costume...can't they give her something that?well she is Ganga's sister so they can give her something like that...I really like Ganga's costume..

One thing about Sonarika - her voice does seem rather high pitched. I wonder how that is going to change?

that really can't change unless she takes voice modulation lessons...wonder if actor's training budgets stretch that far?!

personally i found Mouni's voice rather nasal and irritating...but I ceased to notice after a while...once I got immersed in the narrative, i stopped paying attention

So far in the serial, Parvati never reminded me of Abhilasha. But today, she did 😆 when Himavan went to see her after he saw Jaya & Vijaya being sent out for him.

Parvathy's character seems to be projected as a sweet , submissive girl... someone many of the teenegers can identify with.. and Sonarika has been successful in protraying that very well... i like her relation with her parents...
but what i have imagined of Parvathy-Mahadev relation is that they married as equals... with Parvathy as the perfect partner for Mahadev... strong, determined, willful...
if Sonarika manages to bring forth that transformation it wud indeed be a coup for her

She did remind me of her previous character-but i guess that is beacuse she was shown that way...
Sonarika is still young,so i guess they want Parvati to be potrayed as still being young!

And Parvati was young when she married Shiva...there is nothing to suggest that she was all fiery and goddess-like from day 1...so these creative liberties, I don't mind.

Sonarika will have the challenge of portraying a process, from the unsure young woman she is today to Shiva's equal...

that should be pretty exciting for her as an actress...
