Guys as the last update was not that detailed I decided to start this chapter from the flashback
CHAPTER 5
FLASHBACK
The Jaigarh palace
Every one was busy with preparations for a grand party. And why shouldn't they be? After all it was Udayveer, Jaigarh's Yuvraj's 6th birthday.
At that time Jaigarh family included Giriraj, Vasundra, Uday and Unnati. Vasundra was 3 months pregnant.
Coming back to the palace... Vasundra was asking the servants to do everything properly when Giri came there
Giri : ohho Vasu why are you worrying, they will do everything.
Vasu : Come on Maharaj today is my baby's birthday. It has to be very special.
Giri : It will be Vasu but don't forget that there is a small baby whom you have to look after. Take rest Vasu..
Vasu : But..
Giri : If not then start getting ready for the party. The birthday boy's mother should also look beautiful or not?

The Devgarh Family comes.

He escorts them inside where
Manyata : Uncle where is Uday? I wanna wish him happy birthday
Vasu comes along with the children.
Vasu : Manyata beta here is uday

DS : Beta won't you let us wish you?
Uday : Dadi sahab!! (he takes her and all the elders blessings while they wish him)
Manyata : Can we play now?
Vasu : of course beta why not

The kids leave while the elders start talking...
Now its time to cut the cake. Jaigarh family is on the small stage to cut the cake..
Uday cuts it and all sing 'Happy birthday to you'.After the cake cutting ceremony was dinner. Everyone settled down on the huge dining table. Giri received a call from an unknown number.
Giri : Hello who's this??
Person: Hello.. hello
Giri excuses himself and goes out to receive the call
Outside
Giri : Hello can you hear me? hello
A person comes in front of him and
Person : Yes I can hear you but after tonight no one will be able to hear your voice
Giri : What.?
The person takes a revolver out and shoots him. 'thishkkqaaauu'
The sound of the gunshot reaches inside. Everyone rushes outside. They come outside and get shocked by seeing Giriraj shot. Brij rushes towards him and takes him to hospital along with Vasu while DS handles the people present in the party. Komal is handling the kids though with much difficulty as baby Anmol was too small. She takes them to bed and makes them sleep.
After the guests leave DS too leaves for the hospital while Komal stays back.
At hospital
The doctors are operating Giriraj. They are trying their best. They come out after some time and
Dr : Maharaj Brijraj, Rajmata, Maharani Vasundra..
Vasu : Yes doctor.. how is maharaj
Dr : umm we have taken the bullet out but..
Vasu : But what doctor
Dr : but he has not gained consciousness and if he doesn't gain it within 48 hours then he might fall in coma.
Brij : Thanks doctor
Dr leaves
Vasu upon hearing this breaks down. DS tries to control her
DS : Vasu control yourself beta
Vasu : But Ma sahib
DS : Vasu you are pregnant beta don't take this much stress it isn't good for your health
Vasu : But Maharaj is inside fighting with life and death how am I supposed not to take stress.
DS : I can understand beta but you have to control yourself remember you are Jaigarh's Maharani
Vasu : what maharani Ma sahib when my maharaj is in there
DS : Beta I think you should go home and take rest I and Brijraj are here.
Vasu : No ma Sahib I can't
DS : Vasu what about Uday and Unnati.. Please go home they must be looking for their mom.. go please
Brij : ma sahab is right Bhabhi sa you should go home
Vasu : ok I I will
She leaves. DS and Brijraj stay at the hospital.
Giri doesn't regain consciousness.
Next Day at Jaigarh palace
Maharani Vasundra is in the study trying to investigate about yesterday's incident. Police Commissioner(PC) is also present there.
Vasu : Commissioner saab I want the culprit behind the bars in 48 hours is that understood
PC : we'll try our best maharani sa
Vasu : Don't just try but I want the results too. You can leave
He leaves.
Vasu's phone rings. its an unknown number
Vasu : hello
Person : Maharani Vasundra Singh..
Vasu : who's this
Person : Do you know that your husband's life is in danger
Vasu : what the hell
Person : Go and see it for yourself...
Vasu : hello
Call cut
Vasundra tells police about this call and leaves for the hospital.
On the way her car collides with a truck. She gets badly injured... The Police car was just coming after her car but they couldn't do anything. All they did was to take her to the hospital.
The doctors start treating Vasu... On the other hand Giri regains consciousness but is still very weak. He is heartbroken when he comes to know about Vasu's accident. He wants to see her but isn't allowed by the doctors. The Police team comes over there and start asking qusetions
Police : Maharaj do you know who shot you
Giri : no I don't. But I think he was just a pawn while the player is someone else.
Police : well there is good news the number from which you received call has been traced. and he will be caught very soon.
DS : Make sure that it happens.
Police : It'll surely will.. I'll take your leave now
He leaves
A doctor comes and
Doctor : Maharaj..
Giri : doctor what happened.
Dr : actually its about Maharani...
Giri : What about Vasu dr?
Dr : Its umm..
DS : say it dr
Dr : There were many injuries and much blood loss and she was very stressed so.. There has been a miscarriage.
Giri : is she alright dr?
Dr : umm she has fallen into coma
Giri : what are you saying
Dr : I'm saying the truth.
Giri : when will she wake up?
Dr : can't say.. it can be 12 days, 12 months or even... 12 years...

How could he cry after all he was A King a maharaja. The A Police Commissioner entered and told Giri that he wanted to tell him something. "not here. lets move out" Giri said. Outside:
Giri : What is it PC that you wanted to tell.
PC : well I don't know if you'd believe me or not but whatever I say is the truth.
Giri : hmm
Pc : Today in the morning Maharani ji received a call from an unknown number telling her that your life was in danger. That is why she was hurrying very much to reach here but I think it is plan to destroy your family. I meam first you were attacked now Maharani ji I suggest you to please double your family's security.
Giri : is this what you thought I won't believe.
PC : Umm actually there is more. Maharani ji told us before leaving that umm Rajmata ji called her telling her about your worsening health and that she needed yo go. Now it is just that why would Rajmata ji use an unknown number to call her I mean...
Giri : hmmm
PC : but I can not that sure about it until I can talk to them. This is what I wanted to ask that should I ask them?

PC leaves and he again went to Vasu
Next day
Now on Giriraj's order Vasu was moved into their house coz of security reasons. Vasu was home now while the devgarh Family went to their palace to freshen up.
The PC again comes to meet Giri
PC : Maharaj ji there is news..
Giri : what is it?
PC : we caught the person who called yoy that day and we have even asked him questions but he isnt opening his mouth...
Giri : do whatever you want but I want the real player behind this found out soon.
PC : we are tryin--
His phone rings. After listening he cut his call and
PC : Maharaj he spoke up
Giri : What is it
PC : Devgarh
Giri : what?!? no its not the truth
PC : but this is what he said
Giri : He might be lying
PC : What should I do now
Giri : Beat him black and blue and make him tell the TRUTH.
PC :I'll try sir
He leaves
Giri thinks: Devgarh can't do this or can they...
Later that day when the devgarh royals had come to visit Giri then the PC again came
PC : sir if you could just (he asked Giri)

They go to the study where..
PC : sir what he was saying is the truth.. it IS Devgarh

PC : Sir the devgarh royals had bailed him out this afternoon...

He goes out where devgarh Family is sitting

Giri : I don't know why they did this to us and after that day they never once tried to talk to me. It proves that they are guilty.

Uday : Choti I think you are stressed out from college work

Uday : I say then why don't you and your friends join us
Unnati : where are you going dada and who is US?
Uday : Relax Choti I am telling. So my friends nd I are planning to go on a hike. we go every year. So if you wanna join you are most welcome
Unnati : that is my wish from God knows how long. I always asked you to take me with you but you never agreed then why now
Uday : Coz now my choti is no more choti. She is a big girl now right?
Unnati : yes dada
Uday : so do you wanna come?
Unnati : I'll ask my friends and tell you tomorrow dada its quite late now
Uday : ok
Unnati : Good night dada
Uday : Good night choti and may your dreams be sweet
Unnati : Thanks dada.. bye
Uday : bye angel
She leaves
Uday to himself : Choti I wish I could tell you but she is your friend nd I don't want you to be hurt. I know you love your friends alot. So So choti I am sorry.
But I promise this trip is going to be very memorable for you and Rajkumari Manyata. He Smirks...
