hi sam...as you point out u r not to young...its same here...i amin my late 20's and and married...that doesnt stop me liking ak just because he is presented himself as a very powerful actor...he is worked in serials befor and recently in YRKKH...but wasnt noticed much there...was he??????looks to change nahi hue na...but.this time he got a role...wherein he put all his efforts...and its turned out to be...one of the best portrayed characters in indian tv...he is uday beer for us...he is made it possible just by his acting...and this is growing day by day...its just a baby stage..of the serial and look where he is reached...just cover doesnt help .the whole book has to be interesting...that needs a loads of talent...whether like it or not...he is the soul of dek ...we dont feel the pain of every actor...but we feel his...as for his dressing..i personnally like it very much...its very different than usual and the way he carries it is amazing...my nephew 14 yrs was saying...he needs a shirt like udays round collar ones...where do we get it???????hahahaahh...

@ Kai - thank you for your agreement... As for the shirt, I'm sorry sweetheart, but some things just are just made for the dumpster. I love the black attire he boasted in y'days epi. and also like his other garments, but dude, that thing looks like something with potential gone haywire! But, nonetheless, we are all entitled to our opinions. He is such a wonderful actor, who really cares about the shirt no?

Anywhoo, coming to the topic, wow..! I am going on a rant here, so please bear with me.

Ashish Kapoor is a good looking guy, no doubt, BUT for me he holds little attraction if the character of Uday is stripped off him.

I love the way he protrays the complex young prince with so much of elan. Looks like this role was almost tailor made for him and I appreciate that as an actor he does so much justice to his work. This guy sure has a lot of pressure on his sturdy shoulders but he makes it look so effortless.

The uniqueness of his onscreen character just work like a magic into your heart and can I help it if i find him irresistible and hot in that garb of Udayveer?😳

I knew nothing of the actor until after I started watching DEK. I watched some of his offscreen ints after DEK and there although I liked him because now I connect him to Udayveer, the overall impact was still the same .As in he appears a nice guy, good looking, hot body et all BUT, I would much rather see him setting my screen on flames with his dynamic and zealous portrayal of Udayveer. I think it's the whole captivating personality, the mysteriousness, the aura, the charm and most importantly the style with which he exudes the onscreen character that makes me appreciate AK, the actor as well. I am sure there are many other guys much more handsome than AK in telly world itself but not all of them are popular right? Good looks are NOT the be-all and end-all.

I liked the way you put up Madhubala's example. Really did not know that people considered her less talented only due to her exceptionally beautiful face. That's weird! But yes people tend to discriminate against everything and anything. If you are dark, if you are fair, of you are brown, if you are rich or poor, if you are average looking or good looking…and the list goes on

Poor guy, is that his fault? These days I actually feel bad for him! He deserves all the fanship and love he has garnered due to his hard work and here are people are ready to credit all that to his looks alone! Well, life is unfair!

I am a big fan of Apoorva since JJKN days and Ram, Sakshi and now Ashish Kapoor. He is amazing with his eyes - his eyes speak and i am sure if he is not given any dislogues he will still pull through due to his eyes - full of anger, passion, attitude, power - you name it and he shows that emotion via his eyes. I have become big fan of his eyes.

Well i have read your post And i don't think we love Uday Because of His Looks first of All when i thought of Watching this Show i Never knew Ashish was Coming ... in this Show i dint even knew Ashish before so i only knew it was Abhishek whos coming ...
Yeh i agree we in the showbiz world looks matter a lot but i think with looks you need to know how to act and give Expression at the right place so with looks you need to have talent too then you will succeed ...
So with the Looks Ashish have talent too ... he is juss Amazinggg As udayy... Killar Attitude ,Killing Smile so i wont say we love Uday more cuz he Look better we love him cuz of his Attitude ...
Personally I have loved Actors With looks And talent Like Salman .Kinshuk AND nOW Ashish

I am only fan of Aashish Kapoor because of his sheer talent and his presence on the screen than his good looks. 😃
