It seems like the saying definitely applies here because while Akash does make her laugh and smile and it could be genuine'he is not there to point out the mistake M makes or the flaws she has. Udayveer on the other hand cares for her and is slowly starting to fall in love with her too but he never shys away from pointing out M's mistakes or flaws. Furthermore, I don't think we even have reached the strong point of Udayveer's love because while he have loved her as a friend when he was a child and might have cherished her memory all these year, I feel like he is just starting to get to know and love this new M.
