Nupur Talwar Interview with HT
We do not suspect any servant, says Nupur
Peeyush Khandelwal, Hindustan Times

What has been the impact of the case on you?
We were struck by the most horrible tragedy a family can ever face. Even before we could comprehend the loss of our daughter, Noida police accused and arrested my husband. We were a happy normal middle-class family for whom the criminal investigations, media etc. was something very far away. Words cannot express the grief Rajesh and I are going through.
How was Aarushi's relationship with both of you?
We both showered all love and affection on Aarushi. She was a perfectly normal and happy teenager who loved her friends, her dance, loved life, family etc. Rajesh and I always tried to fulfil her desire. On the fateful night of the 15th, we were making plans for her 14th birthday. She wanted to have a party at 'Fluid', which is a pretty expensive place. But Rajesh told her it would not be a problem. She wanted a 5.1 mega-pixel digital-camera, Rajesh presented her with an 8.1 mega-pixel one.
How were Aarushi's interactions with the Duranis, Hemraj and Krishna?
The Duranis were like a second family for Aarushi and all of us. Her interactions with Hemraj were like a child in a home would have with an elderly domestic help. Since she was never left alone in the house, there was no interaction beyond that.
With Krishna, there was hardly any interaction at all. If at all she had any interactions, it was probably only when she landed up at clinic and he would be there. There was nothing beyond that.
There are allegations that servants are being implicated in the case.
Initially, because of the circumstances under which we found Aarushi, we thought it was Hemraj who had done this. We found ourselves bolted from outside. We couldn't leave the house and found Hemraj missing. When we called him up, after a few rings, his phone was disconnected and later switched-off. All this led us to believe that it was Hemraj, who could have done this.
Today, if the name of any servant is coming up, it is because of the CBI investigation. As far as we are concerned, we have not suspected anyone.
Rajesh Talwar (husband) has not been subjected to a narco-analysis, though he is still an accused
I think the CBI and their forensic experts can answer this question better. The CBI is interrogating us, the Duranis and everybody associated with us. Many scientific-tests haven't been carried out on Rajesh as well as me. If a narco-test or a brain mapping is required, we are willing to undergo the same.
How is your husband taking all this?
Rajesh is a broken man –– both physically and mentally. He keeps asking me "why am I living". Every time I go to meet him he says, "Nupur, why didn't the person who killed Aarushi kill both of us."
There are allegations that your family was in a hurry to perform Aarushi's last rites
We did as the elders in the family told us. It was all in the knowledge of the Noida police. Aarushi's postmortem was over by 1 pm on May 16. Her cremation was performed at around 5 pm in Noida.
Did the police object to it?
The police and the doctor who conducted the postmortem told us they had no objections whatsoever and that they had completed their formalities.
The day you went to Hardwar, Hemraj's body was discovered. What did you do then?
When Hemraj's body was discovered on Saturday, we had collected the ashes and started for Hardwar. We had just left when we got a call to return and identify a body found on the terrace. Rajesh identified the body.
Rajesh Talwar is still an accused and in jail. What you have to say about his involvement and possible outcome of the investigations?
We were sleeping in our room when the murders took place. Had we been awake the murderer would have killed us too, then we would have been with Aarushi today. We hope that justice will prevail and real culprits caught and punished. Rajesh is innocent. Till my last breath, I will continue to say that. He is not in involved in these murders. I have faith in his innocence and the investigations.
This interview begs many questions;
Is the C.B.I. continuing this investigation just so that it can continue to enjoy front page coverage in the Headlines?
Are they any more qualified than the inept idiots of Noida and the U.P. Police?
Why don't they do the narco and other test on the Talwars once and for all, and put an end to all the speculation?
Will they release all the so called "suspects" after these tests or continue to hold all sorts of people illegally?
Does the C.B.I. have no other cases on their plate?
Why is that Judge constantly giving into the C.B.I.'s pressure to keep these people locked up when there is NOT ONE SHRED OF EVIDENCE?"
Is that Judge guilty of aiding and abetting the C.B.I. in continuing with this concocted, bizarre investigation?
If this kept happening in any court in the U.S. I can assure you the defense attorneys would file 100's of motions to have such a Judge removed from the case for prejudice and bias. She obviously has lost touch with the law, is not being objective, and needs to recuse herself.
