My comments were not directed to anyone in particular but was merely responding to the scenario Qwerts had presented regarding visualizing someone keeping in mind the topic of discussion being looks. For me Avi serves as personal identification or messege of some sort and when it is a picture of the most beautiful and photographed celebrity it translates unanimously into physical beauty which is not the case when we see animated or cartoon characters or something abstract in avis which is open to individual interpretations.

I don't have any issues with people using celebraties in avatar as such and in answering to Qwerts post I made an honest statement about perception and reality of first impression if VL and RL were to merge.

Btw I agree about the shallow world comment with respect to looks - how many will consider using Nana Patekar, Om Puri or Seema Biswas in their avi?

Very well put 👏 I like your point!

Qwerts, Fantasing is like food..for thought.😆 Both genders do it well ...😆

"Furthermore, boys (but not girls) approached the female stranger more often in the attractive than in the unattractive condition,"

Now this is interesting conclusion, I had this doubt that boys have some built-in default , now they've somewhat proved it 😆😆😆

boys at young age as young as 3 months stare a girl\woman more than a girl , again a personal observation 😆 and when they grow a little bit they tend to offer you (again if you are a woman or a girl) whatever they are eating sometimes they take out cookie or candy right from their mouth to offer you but if you are a man or a boy forget about it 😆😆😆 again personal observation😆

Agree or not..Entire universe gives preference for good looking people in the first instant😛😛😛..looks matter a lot.don't u watch serials(hindi) ..even if the hero or heroine is not good looking..he/she will have makeover at the end or mid of the serial....
The preference of goodlooks is given to living and non living things also..we donot buy a non stylish thing only for the sake of it features..say for instance we donot carry a big jute bag for shopping we polish it or do some make over ...like eco friendly bag and then carry it ....good looks matter most😛

Qwerts, I think I used the wrong word there.😳 We have tendency to aggrandise and render people or situations plausible when we visualize subconsciouly. It happens when people decide to immigrate to USA or UK , change jobs , or are looking to be brides or grooms.😆 Why is that even while knowing the reality or having lived thru similar situatuions , a prospect of new job or moving into a new house or interacting with people in virtual world , we imagine the best picture perfect scenario about everything?(I am not talking about pessimists or paranoid people here, as they would imagine the opposite.😆) It is like OUR minds are doing promoting and marketing for others. 😕

I may be totally off here from what you think of subconscious visualisation and would love to read your thoughts too.😊

I agree with the topic that looks are perferred more than personality I guess. I mean girls drool over fit guys and guys drool over fit girls. I mean all the big stars hollywood or bollywood have looks if they don't they get plastic surgery. even the slightest imperfections seem to be a life and death situation People are obsessed with looks, whether its make up, dieting, platic surgery, laser treatment. The worlds obsessed with their image, and if someone has imperfections, if theey are overweight or if their nose is too big we critisice and scrutinise and insult them.

There's a saying that looks aren't important its whats inside that counts' but looks are imporant, people judge you by your looks then get to know you. I mean in every indian, pakistani, english and american movie the lead actor and actress are good looking. People aren'te interested in the movie if the lead actors haven't got an image.

If someone is classed as 'ugly' then society doesn't want to know them.
