If by devotion what you mean is loyalty and commitment I agree. But if it means to put the other person on a pedestal and worship hem or her while being blind to their faults, its not a good idea especially in a man-woman relationship.

Radha was married to Aiyyan, a man who was much older than her. Radha herself was older than Krishna and always loved him.

Now coming back to the main subject,

Love is an emotion. How can one define emotion?😊

This topic makes me go

I am yet not sure what exactly love is, but the strongest surge of emotions I have seen so far in my life of 18 years is from a mother to her child. I have not seen anything stronger that that and what a mother feels about her child is what I consider "love". 😊

About the running around the trees love, I am pretty sure that exists also. Else, how do people spend 50-60 odd years together (Only talking about people who do so happily)? This year, my grandparents accomplished 45 years of marriage and I can still see that love thing between them. They snap at each other all the time 😆 but at the end of the day, they both ensure each other's happiness, maybe that's love. ❤️

And about Radha-Krishna, they had a great bond between them and that was probably love. Marriage does not equal love and so, just because Lord Krishna married Rukmini, we can't say that he loved her. She just wanted to be rescued before her forced marriage and on her request; Lord Krishna rescued her and married her. Where's the love part 😕? I am not sure if it is true or whether they existed or not, but I would like to believe that Radha and Krishna loved each other. 😊

lol everyone .. so one question-

why is rukmini-love / satyabhama-love for krishna suddently sounding so under-rated ? 😆
rukmini loved him and he loved her back - a reason why they eloped.

rn't these human perceptions after all as to who he loved more?

love is supreme and divine in each form. some forms of its display face constraints.. while some forms of its display don't.

Both Rama and Krishna are construed to be forms of Vishnu in different times. Their duties varied and so did their strategies to fullfill them. The former took pride in being EK-PATNI, while the latter had multiple love interests. In that aspect, they were contrasts. However, one cannot be revered any lesser than the other.

I believe that their stories introduce us to different levels of social structure, obligations, and all that's GREY rather than black or white.
The constant message is the power of love!

According to love guru KJo........Zindagi mein pyaar ek hi baar hota hai and pehla pyaar koi nahin bhula sakta. 😆😆😆 So Radha scores over Ruku and Bhama.

Friend, I mean only loyality and commitment. Now I begin to love you all people. Love is an emotion that can be between human beings. One can love animals, plants ,places etc.( not only between man and woman).

To me, a persoin should be loyal and commited to each and every relationship what ever it may be official or personal.
