Yes, I agree with you completely. "Bhaktti " ie., true belief in Gods like Krishna is a strong form of love.

You misunderstood me friend, I didn't think him as god or he is embodiment of love. But the 'Bhakthi'(the relationship with Krishna) of Poonthanam, Kurooramma, Meera and so many persons who lived in Kerala and other places.
My God is Siva. He is selfless and embodiment of love who give half of his body to his wife. The concept is Siva is nothing with out Parvathi. See " Soundarya lahari".He is living in Earth ie., in "Kilas" with his family like ordinary human being. He want only limited things, can live in ordinary places and do anything for his devotees. In order to avoid destruction of earth he drank "Poison, that came from Vasuki".

His love is unconditional. In India girls are longing to have an Husband like Siva. He has every thing But very simple way of living.

Dear friend, Only after Jayadevan's "GEETAGOVINDAM ".The charector of Radha became strong. In neither"Bharatam" nor "Bhagavatham" Radha was mentioned. You know Geetagovidam was written much later, She is a concept much after arised and the love and sacrifice influenced the people ( male dominated medieval Indian Mind)

The feeling of Kurooramma towards Krishna(Guruvyurappan) was love of a mother to her child, in the case of Meera it was pure love, she can not accept another man in his place eventhough she is married.

But these are all examples of "devotion" more than normal everyday love which was the kind of love that was being debated on, I think.

I think devotion is the kind of love that asks for sacrifices without expecting any returns.
