now let's see. people are generally considered to have some will. but if one can follow where you are leading to, an arbitrary nature with no will would have given rise to people with will? to all the intelligence we see around? all the order we see around is due to the whims of nature, no?😆

actually, makes us wonder about that einstein fella, what say? dont know why but he was spending the latter years of his life trying to weave together some understanding of how it all came about, to explain it all. lots of others who were trying to look beyond the observations and understand the grand will, the great mind. dont know why he should have bothered. if he had half the intelligence he did, he should have known that he could explain everything by invoking qwerty's bin-baap-ka nature theory. no?😛 your veering away from the main with conviction might make some readers think you are making a rebuttal when actually you arent driving a point... when I say inherent trait... its an inherent trait.. Why Einstein any person with a scientific bent of mind will always be inquisitive to know the characteristics... but that doesnt mean they have to get the answers all the time...Ok the hammer fell on the head.. hit the cerebral cortex.. caused lesion damaged the nerve centers, caused concussive haemorrhage, destroyed cells, mitchondria.. neuron path ways.. so where exactly the inquisitiveness stops??? Einstein was a brilliant since he was doing all this through thought processes and math and not by dropping things.. All said ... You dont have to have all answers you have to have some critical answers.. you can sit and investigate.. why the earth doesnt have wings....for me its irrelevant... gravity is important piece of info since it tells us something about the nature of space and the interacting forces... If Einstein had gone for another 300 years on his path... I am sure he still wount have come across any version of "God"😊

oh and gravity? dont worry about it. so what if we could not gravitate iss janam mein.😛 i mean i am sure there are others who will. how else do u suppose every hen gets to lay an egg?😉

Your reasoning is linking arbitrary concepts in Science to weave a mystic of divine existence.. Hypothesizing arbitrarilly with unrelated concepts in irrelevant domains can only create fine imaginative possibilities...

Sun going round the earth is an hypothesis based on observation and if I am limited to this domain even today you can see the sun going round the earth... I wont call this crazy - thats the step in intellectual evolution....a step in the right direction...as we know more we get better.. that doesnt mean just cos I dont know enough I go ahead with arbitrary "hypothesis"...

population growth and additional souls. lots of plausible explanations. plausible, meaning not proven nor disproven. if you can disprove these, would be happy to hear.

1. can you prove that the number of souls has actually increased? is it not possible that there are other things with soul? ab music mein bhee toh soul hai, kyoon?😛 So split soul... agar india ka population double ho giya toh woh soul key itne tukde huye honge ki literally there will be few soulless people kya? Boost dena parega unko... energy hi nahi hai...😊

2. imo, one soul per human body is a least-common-denominator concept, to expain things in simple ways to people with a certain quantum of intelligence. is there any requirement for that one soul per body theory? we find that atoms can be split. why not soul, or whatever that is? if it's some kind of energy, why cant it be diffused into different individuals? in fact it's hard for energy to stay confined in one shape. might even explain why some women can be angels and devils at the same time.😉 I am ok since you are warming all these souls in your thought micro-wave, may be you can also say besides being energy does it have cognitive abilities? what other features are present here?

3. if i can dare to invoke the big-bang theory without it too being called ludicrous 😛(since it unfortunately only helps explain some things but cant be proven), then we should be able to assume that the entire universe was confined within a singularity. now if you can tell us how many potential souls there were at that point, i think we will be able to establish whether the number of souls has actually increased. 😉arre count kar lenge, aur kya? 😛if it sounds far-fetched to assume that there could be any potential souls, let me know if other aspects of the generally acknowledged big-bang dont also sound far-fetched to you. my point? what sounds far-fetched to you might not indeed be far-fetched. might just be the limitations of our intelligence.😉 Big bang kyon jaate bhai.. karol baug ki junta ki ginti karlo... kya woh nai atmain hai ya phir app ki bhatakti😆

as for believing in God, some of us dont know who else to thank but God for a happy life free of major frustrations. lucky us, no? lucky draw of nature, no? cant be good karma you suppose? 😛whatever, i sure can see why someone would give up on God😉 Ups and downs are part of life.. if you wanna thank God do it.. God is totally personal.. God acts like a soothing thought if you genuinely believe it but it someone just does a lip service of thanking.. thats not a good idea...😊.. Confessions work exactly same way by guilt absolution...Religion and God have high soothing effects if you believe them. Unfortunately I see too much to believe that..😊.

kabhie nature, kabhie kuch aur. now trait. call it whatever, but where did it come from? that's the question. even all the arbitrary physical/ moral attributes we find in people can be sourced back to something if you look far back enough. people who are a bit more analytical like to get deeper and further into the "whys".

and actually, read this post again and rebut it. lets not just slide away by calling other characterizations as "veering away".😆

difference between our "positions" is i believe in terms of possibilities. seems like for you the observation soup of the day are to be taken as final point without undertanding why.😆 things are or they are not. it's this way or nothing. digital. sounds like what is generally prescribed by various rigid dogmas. 😊

oh, but there is so much more to this than meets the "observing" eye. as is the case with gravity?😉

first, you often get to the last penny in the first place because of your ruinous investing habits.😉 that usually is a path dependent process involving history, not just the last roll of the dice.😊

second, more often than, if you are still in the tank with your investments, it's because of those crazy bets you made last year which wipe out 90% of your money. then even if you earn 100% on what's left, you'd still be in the hole. big time. want the math?😛

and to move on beyond the world of investments to stuff more people can enjoy, you become an alcoholic not because of that last drink.😆 ok, unless it's some kinda crack that u snorted with that drink. and you become fat not just because of that huge meal you last pigged out on. though one can never underestimate some people's love of gluttony, can we?😆 and from the field of farming, even the harvest we reap today is because of the seeds we sowed a long time ago. not just the last seed that got planted.

which is why imo it helps to go beyond old-girlie tales i think. but first, gotta have an open mind and consider other possibilities. cant just rely on nature and lazy sound-bites i think😉

Food for Thought:

Can there be any doubt that, during the last twenty five centuries, Buddha, Christ or Mohammed have been the most honoured, idolised, adored, discussed and talked about figures in history? The erudite who made them the objects of their studies, laudatory or critical, are nowhere seen in the resplendence which surrounds them.

Even the greatest among secular geniuses emit only a feeble glow in comparison, and their works make a poor show beside the popularity of the Bible, the Quran, the Bhagavad Gita or the Discourses of Buddha. Why do the personalities and the utterances of the enlightened command such lasting devotion from the human heart? There must be a reason for it.

The argument that this idolisation and homage do not emanate from the disciplined mind of scholars but from the superstitious fears of the commoners does not change the position...since the scholars themselves depend for their own authority on the same spontaneous approval and instinctive recognition of their worth by the crowd.

Hinduism has survived since 1000's of yrs n it will survive in future too.

hinduism is not juzz a religion but a way of life.

now u will ask me whts that way of life.

well its the culture n heritage thts been passed 2 us frm our ancestors. the ayurveda, yoga even the kamasutra r all part of hinduism. the yoga helps us in maintaing fitness the ayurveda in curing n kamasutra in hmm hmm u no wht 😉 . v worship sun, moon, tress, animals, wind , water all these things. this was taught 2 us by our ancestors becoz they knew in the coming ages fools wud b born. take the cow 4 indtance. it helps us in numerous ways. if the cow was not considered holy it wud have been eaten. so in this way v have been taught how 2 lead our lives.

there r many flaws in our hindu society i agree , like caste system etc. it is up 2 the current generation n 2 overcome this n pass on 2 the future.

the problem wid our religion is that v done have strict rules like christians r supposed 2 go 2 church every sunday n muslims 2 mosque every friday. but hindus dn have tht rule. v r ready 2 go 2 a church n pray wid them but i don think any christiam or muslim will accept our prasadam. not even as a sweet.

v have temples like tirupathi which r very very rich. these temples must do something 4 the poorer sections of the society so tht it us 2 come together.

most people r ignorant of hinduism. they laugh at the hindu rituals n customs but every small detail has a reason. some of which v know n some v dont.

hindusim is too big 2 b wrapped in a book like christianity or islam. i talk 4 ages tirelessly n it wont end.

i do think conversion is a solution 4 anything. if ar rehman thinks his troubles n problems eneded after he met some sufi fakir n convereted 2 islam then y is it there r so many muslims who r languishing in porverety who have physical deformities. it is asy 2 blame god 4 ur problems. i will never ever convert. i was born a hindu n will die a hindu.

combustion and gases. sure. that's the stuff that made things run in the primitive world. 😉but the modern world has gone more nuclear. it's more than just the gases that knock you out. 😉cant believe we are still there.😆

now do you know what consciousness is? even if it's some kind of abstract mind, havent we ever heard of mind-over-matter effects? or vice versa? that's baloney? well, how about when we find our spirits lifted by certain music, and depressed by others? and what is that music we hear? at some elementary level, everything is wave particles, strings and the rest of that, not too different from the particles that comprise us. 😊

Surely a possibility isnt one.. something you like so much....😆

and to move on beyond the world of investments to stuff more people can enjoy, you become an alcoholic not because of that last drink.😆 ok, unless it's some kinda crack that u snorted with that drink. and you become fat not just because of that huge meal you last pigged out on. though one can never underestimate some people's love of gluttony, can we?😆 and from the field of farming, even the harvest we reap today is because of the seeds we sowed a long time ago. not just the last seed that got planted.Man you are wayward with your analogies.... You become alcoholic.. because of alcohol tolerance, a natural reaction of the physiology... now that may be an alien thought for the lay man.. and if you are making the laymans argument...thats fine...😉

which is why imo it helps to go beyond old-girlie tales i think. but first, gotta have an open mind and consider other possibilities. cant just rely on nature and lazy sound-bites i think😉.. the problem with your reasoning is on one hand you use the advanced concepts and try to throw some ced theories and then suddenly jump in a naive arguments like the two above.. Do you even see this aberration? Surely heisenbergs principle surely applies to your rebuttals.. never know where its going...😆
