• Were you part old IF, like pre 2015? If yes, do you miss it?

lol yeah joined at the heights of ipk. it was insane, 100+ pages of shows discussion, gif threads, multiple threads dissecting characters, the cg were active, pic galleries had dedicated people posting caps, there used to be stiff competition for graphics (banner, forum entry contests). chat clubs were fun. ATs were cool place to hangout. it was vibrant fun place. the fights were intense, the discussions were amazing.

i miss the intensity of those days. i still remember there was a thread during ishqbaaz time, a member wrote in her post after shivika forced marriage "shivay threw her so nicely, that too on a pristine white bed! why so hulaboo about it" and there were 50 pages of bashing/praising the member😆of course the comment was outrageous, but those were the days. these days its like members are too negative, come for trolling (including myself). things are too negative. the traffic is missing. people just stay in their groups and do their things. the old creativity is gone. IF used to pick ship names and other media portals would pick that up.

i have said it again and will say it again, IF majorly suffered from forced moderation. nobody likes a fellow member telling them "you cant do this" and put ban on posts. still this date, IF dont allow certain words to be posted. reason is because the owner wants this site to be age appropritate. there is no escaping "adult" content when sunny leone's condom ad comes during evening family time on tv. or when tv serials have elaborate implied suhagrat scenes in epis. so imo those rules are bs

• Do you think the quality of ITV shows has affected the discussion on IF?

itv was shit then, itv was shit now. the people have changed. IF couldnt keep up with other sites where moderation is zero and technology was advanced.

• Have you made life long friends on IF?

i am in touch with a few till this date.

• How did IF help you in unleashing your creativity?

it taught be creative writing, graphics making. people like nabila appy used to post tutorials and that have helped many. appy is a fantastic writer. over the years i have read some stuffs here which belongs to a dedicated publishing novel. i was in touch with folks who turned their fanfic to books.

Yes, I joined in 2011 after coming across GHSP Forum. I do miss the old IF. It was quite active with members who'd create fun discussion threads or create siggies and avis and share their creations. That rarely happens anymore.

The new IF does have new features which are great. I love the addition of emojis and other reactions on posts. However, I really miss the old layout. It was colourful and amazing. I miss the old fonts and the different colours we were able to use when it came to posting stories. The scraps and testimonials. The siggies and animated icons.

Do you think the quality of ITV shows has affected the discussion on IF?

Possibly - not sure. There are so many shows right now that is across several different platforms and not all are watching the same ones. I personally stopped watching because I don't like the content they're showing. I feel like its just recycled content and saas bahu dramas so after Ishq Subhan Allah, nothing has caught my attention. Even that show, I stopped watching when it became illogical. 😂

I think it would good to create Forums for the trending international shows that are being watched by millions across the globe (create the forums on the first week of that show starting) and that could bring in some discussion topics.

I do also think quite a few members had become inactive when the new layout had come out and weren't sure how to navigate so they'd moved to sites they were familiar with. I was one of them and was inactive for a couple of years until I'd returned and started to learn and navigate through this new IF.

Have you made life long friends on IF?

I am an introvert and sometimes conscious of joining discussions so I haven't reached out to become friends. I think I only managed to make one life long friend and whom I'm still in touch with through FB now rather than IF.

How did IF help you in unleashing your creativity?

Since I was young, I have been an avid reader and loved coming across stories on the Forums I had followed. My creativity unleashed when I had come across stories that sort of followed illogical paths and I thought to myself, could I write a better one? 😂

I couldn't, my first stories were just as rubbish but readers made me believe I could write and through feedback over the years and different FFs, I do think I have improved over the years and now love typing in my free time. It is the only time I am active on IF.

I did used to love the graphics and creation forum. Inspired by so many creators, I subscribed to Photoshop and learned from tutorials on how to create my own since I was shy to ask others to create it for me. 😂

• Were you part old IF, like pre 2015? If yes, do you miss it? Yes I was. Of course I miss it. Every forum on IF was very active back in those days. Celebrity Fan Clubs were very popular and highly active. New threads in Celebrity Fan Clubs forum were opened every 1 or 2 days. Members Lounge and Games Forum too, just to name a few. There were a lot more members back then participating in those forums. I miss using gifs in place of our profile pic. I hope we get that feature again. I like the new IF too. We have got exciting new features.

• Do you think the quality of ITV shows has affected the discussion on IF? After 2009 I stopped watching shows. After that I just watched 3 inside a decade. I was hooked on shows from 2003 to 2009. Most of my fav shows ended so I took a break from shows. So can't really comment on the current shows.

• Have you made life long friends on IF? I have made a lot of friends on IF. Most of them are not active anymore.

• How did IF help you in unleashing your creativity? I haven't made any siggies or written stories, but I have opened CC's and contributed in Celebrity Fan Clubs when they were active.

I hv joined IF in 2011 and I really missed the old IF. It was another era if I can put it in that way. IF used to be such a joyful place and had a great atmosphere. I missed the old signature box option too where we could have more than one creation and didn't have to a make a choice.

Yes with time so much negativity has made a permanent place in the forum. Instead of enjoying the show deep analysis chal ti hain

Yes i hv made a couple of close friends ovhere but one of them has left IF after its revamp 😭 and i have another one still here and we chat daily❤️

Well am not that creative 😳 but IF has given me the opportunity to make BD celebration thread for my fellow forum members and make their special day a lil more special and I enjoyed it❤️.

Hey 😊 It was back around 2007 onwards. I was CM for Star One Channel. It had such wonderful and high activity shows like Dil Mil Gaye, Mile Jab Hum Tum and so on. Later I also moderated Voice Of India, SRGMP, etc. As a member I started on with SRGMP and was most active later in Big Boss. Both these forums I made so many friends. Sadly none around.

Wow!! Star one had shows for youth. Those days were wonderful. I joined much later. But had good experience with people. All were beaming with enthusiasm to post. EDT would reach 150 pgs in a day in buzy forums. Good to meet you here. This topic is created to go back to memory lane.

IF is a constant in my life too. As you can see from post count, I don't post much.😆 I am more of a reader. I always know what's happening around IF.😆

I used to be a silent stalker too, it took me more than a year to become goldie. Now I'm just everywhere. But I do have my phases where I read more and post less.😆

• Yes , I have been their almost 15 years back in 2007 but left in middle may be early 2009 busy in life but again join 2012 to still love every bit and feel nostalgia from childhood to young journey of life here to unmarried to married and mother feels emotions.

• Yes, I think so and now a days IF not look like the before where we chill out everyday ,every hours their are chatting chatting and new post jabki every time notification bhi aate the but it kept busy. Every time that era feels even today nostalgia so nowadays it not like for any show and IF too look so dull

No , i actually discovered this site in 2016 but joined it in 2019 ( through my old account, i don't use it anymore cause passwrod and registered email bhul gaya mein ) but i liked the layout of I-F back then , i don't remember much of it but i remember that orange colour was prominent throughout the site...it gave the feel of an old site and i liked that look a lot , when i returned in 2019 i was shocked at the change but learned to adjust to it ( if anyone has the screenshots to the site back in 2016 please PM me i miss that look of I-F a lot)

Do you think the quality of ITV shows has affected the discussion on IF?

Yes because shows stopped being captivating these days , every show seems to have the same plot except for a select few...there were problematic shows back then as well but it was to a bare minimum , nowadays every show has some or other problematic aspects ( abusive protagonist painted as troubled , female lead taking it upon herself to "change him" kyun behen? Why do you HAVE to change someone whom you knew for like 5 mins and he keeps on insulting you and you brush it off...there is a thing called self respect , that's why i love shows like Pushpa Impossible and WKD ( even though it has become waaaay too preachy)

Yes, I've been here since December 2014.

Because of Balika Vadhu, I joined IF. The discussions on various topics in that forum, including child marriage, marital rape, child abuse, blind faith, infidelity, etc., really impressed me.

Back then, every thread was treated as a platform for exchanging views with lucidity. There were a few lawyers, doctors, doctorates, and top writers used to participate, and there were in-depth talks following each episode. Nearly 30/ 35 Serbian women used to engage in the Episode discussions thread. Their lunch break in their offices begins around our 8 p.m, i.e, BV serial telecast time.

However, many of them do not speak English. Therefore, a few of them volunteered to translate LU into Serbian, German, and Russian languages while someone gives live updates. There were fan wars, heated arguments, great graphicers with incredible creativity, and writers who were of the highest caliber. I still remember, one thread which reached 150th page within 2 days--- the topic was, marital rape. There, many well-versed lawyers and Doctors offered a wide range of perspectives. It deserves to be preserved as the 'hall of fame thread' that it is! Missed that type of committed members, good serials and great discussions.

Do you think the quality of ITV shows has affected the discussion on IF?---

Yes. Recent serials just showing saas-- bahu sagas; there are no social messages, no forward-thinking ideas, no good plots, and nothing to look forward to watch tomorrow's episode!

The serial discussions were severely impacted because of the poor quality of the serials' content and their use of archaic beliefs,with retrograde storyline.

Have you made lifelong friends on IF? ---

Yes. One group, which included Serbian members, grabbed me into their ATs and Fan Clubs when I first entered the BV forum! The thread makers told me, "You belong to our group, don't move elsewhere." They have always showered me with a tonne of love and affection and have owned me since the very beginning till to date. Many members used to ask me for support, and peace making in their fangirl fights, they know that I am prone to requests.They used to take advantage of me, but then ignored. My parent thread friends would squeeze my cheeks while lambasting me for being helpful to such people, and warned me not to comply with their requests again. But the tale remains the same: they used to fetch me, and then these guardians would repeatedly spank me tirelessly!

That is one part. Another intriguing thing is--- when I was a newbie in this IF with 10–15 posts, I went to a BD thread to wish someone. I suddenly noticed three members posted their BD wishes one after the other. When I saw those names again, it was as if a thunderbolt had struck me. Yes, I know them very well, and I have a special bonding with them. Only their username is there. I don't know anything about them, and I have no knowledge of their gender, age, or any other details. I never spoke to them, and I never heard their names before!! But they are nearer to my heart! I never tried to talk to them, never saw their names in the IF till that time!. Three years later, in the RK forum, I met one of them. She interacted with me, and we made so many threads together. Yes, IF, and destiny brought us back together in this life! ❤️

Once I shared my strange feeling of bonding with RK friend about the other one, she said --ohh, she is a very nice girl. You can interact with her. But I denied, why I have to interact with her, if fate decides, then she will interact with me. Never tried to interact with her. I was in the opinion that she must be a young girl in her teenage, because of RK forum friend's words!!

Approximately two years later, while competing in a Novelette contest, I finally met her. After the contest, when I was announced as one of the winners, she suddenly invited me to judge an ongoing story contest in IPKKND forum. Later, she welcomed me into her team and began teaching me how to moderate with commitment.

In every forum where I interacted with members as a member or as a Viewbie, I consider them as my close friends, and they all reciprocated in the same manner.❤️

I always think of IF as my second home, and IF gave me a new family and several wonderful friends. Thankful to Vijay for this precious gift. Yes-- surprisingly, all three are in DT team now! ⭐️

How did IF help you in unleashing your creativity? ---

India Forums played the role of an alchemist in helping not only me, but many to unlock our creativity. Even though my contribution isn't very noteworthy, this creativity in the IF has a vast and enigmatic emotional thought component that holds readers and observers' interest to great extent.
