first, I believe you are indulging in moral equivalence by saying that hindu rulers were as much invaders of foreign lands as were the mughals and the brits. They were not. Nowhere near the same order of magnitude. By the way, is it ok to have spelled out mughals and brits... or would that be taboo in the PC far- left way of thinking?😉

second, show us anything you can come up where the proponents of hindutva are talking about dominating others. Yes, a lot of hindus today want equality and are more assertive in that regard. In all this, they are asking for a level playing field. But dominate? Where did you get that?😆

but given that you raised the subject of "dominance", I want to suggest that instead what is happening is the following:

1. folks from certain religions do not like hindus becoming assertive, never mind hindus even today are still nowhere as assertive as those religions. Tough luck. That's going to happen as more hindus realize they were taken for a ride.

2. some hindus, especially amongst us in the west, have no sense of self-respect and self-confidence. They are about the only people anywhere in the world who will suck up to the whites and criticize their own religion/ country to get ahead. Please note that I am OK with things in our country/ religion being criticized.... just that it is not ok imo to do so with outsiders (like families that dont go out and talk crap). Other countries have worse problems, but it is only the self-loathing hindus who will dump on their own. I can see that despicable lot everyday on bloomberg and some of the far left whacked up TV channels. Reminds me of folks who would sell their own mother down the river.😉

coming back to AK, i am glad that he has a sense of pride in his roots... and it can be seen in the choice of movies he has acted in... even before Modi came on the scene. And technically, he's not even Indian.

criticising whats wrong with one's religion is not bad. There are plenty of evils in hindu religion like all other religions(casteism, gender discrimination, dowry to name a few)And dont even get me started on superstitions. I dont think there is anything wrong with dumping on them. In fact isnt that the problem we hv with ppl of abrahamic religions? That they dont call out regressive practices in their own religion enough?? That they dont reject these practices? Isnt that why our right wing govt outlawing all those practices because they feel they are regressive while simultaneously shoving their brand of hinduism down our throat.

I agree hindus lack self respect, they ll be the first ones to flee this country when things go bad. Its anusing to see NRIs support hindutva and rejoicing death of democracy in this country while reaping benefits of democratic secular nations of EU and USA.That is why i disagree with hindutva. It will be detrimental for this country. Monopoly of any religion will be detrimental of this country.

Paise wale hindu log to nikal lenge....gareebon ka kya?

people change their views all the time. Just asking, but don't you?😉 People who don't change or are never ready to become ossified like some medieval religions that have refused to change.😉

Also, at least AK doesn't change his views last minute... unlike folks who get religion just when they are about to die. 😆

That was just a quote by PM modi i posted as a meme. And you replied in paragraphs. You seriously need to calm your fan ass lol

I am also BJP, but this level of buttering is too much.

Akshay Kumar, have some spine and believe in your product rather than doing all this.

I say the same to Kangana,

Be a BJP fan or nationalist for the right reasons, be genuine. Not just to promote films.

I am a nationalist because i genuinely believe in the ideology Nation First.

Akshay is jellyfish 😂

Tagore and goat both have a beard, but they're hardly the same, right? Same goes for White and Hindu nationalism. While I'm not a fan of Hindutva, it doesn't deserve any comparison with neo-Nazism. That's an insult to History and human intelligence.

Having lived in both India and the United States, to me there is no difference between Hindutva and white nationalism. White nationalists march in Charlottesville. Hindutva activists hold morchas in India. White nationalists target and shoot up people of color. Hindu nationalists lynch Muslims and people suspected and eating beef.

They are two different countries. Two different histories. And both have unique complexities. Perhaps that is why some may not see it as the same. But if you strip them down to the core - they are nothing but a dominant majority wishing to keep a subordinate group in its place and perpetuating hate.

Lol and what country does this unique concept of yours not apply to then? I’m struggling to think of even one.

I'd be quite shocked if you find a real nation that is utopic because it is indeed universally applicable. Every nation no matter how progressive has within itself some form of systemic oppression.

Most of the time through checks and balances, law and order, and other means - an uneasy status quo is maintained. But every now and then the balance of power tips leading to escalating violence. Sometimes the chain reaction leads to genocide, sometimes citizens are wise enough to intervene and reset the status quo.

Precisely my point. Which is why your comparison of India/USA specifically didn’t make any sense to me when the concept applies to practically almost every country out there. From the Philippines to China to Turkey to Pakistan, there isn’t a single country this doesn’t happen in. Maybe you disagree but I reckon when crunch time comes, human beings (no matter the country) by nature are selfish individuals who put their needs first, it’s just a fact of life.
