There's a diff between finding someone unattractive and mocking them with epithets of bigotry, skin color being one.

Also, huge diff between even finding dark skin unattractive and name-calling on social media.

She may or may not be turning around discussion on her features to color. If so, she is smart and shrewd. Good for her. BW needs smarter women.

Whatever her motive, that post was full of warmth and spirit. Can't help but appreciate.

I don’t understand this skin color, I prefer darker skin color than pale. Her skin color is beautiful. I actually find dusky looking actresses way better looking. I just think she looks like srk as a girl and that’s not a good thing. But I never leave anything under her social, I don’t even follow her social, they need to leave her private account alone. People are so racist with color, strange since they are brown skin too.

The title is just wrong. It's okay to be obsessed with fair skin. It's just a preference. Some don't like the milky white tone at all. Some do. The problem is not about liking a particular skin tone, it is about the abhorrence towards the other ones.

Suhana's message is perfect. We've been conditioned to feel insecure about our skin tone all our life. Advertisements, TV shows, friends, neighbours, our own families have made comments on our skin color one way or another. If you're fair, you're asked to stay away from the sun, cover yourself. If you get a tan, you're asked to get rid of it immediately. If you're dark, everyone and anyone gives "remedies" to get a "better" skin tone.

Having said that, if someone wants to get a procedure done to lighten their skin tone, not due to any kind of pressure but for their own self. And if that makes that person feel better then go for it. There's nothing shameful about it. This is also a problem. Stop judging people who get skin treatments, tummy tucks, surgical procedures etc. If they have the money to change one part of their appearance and it makes them feel good about themselves then please let them do it. We're here on this Earth for a very short time. It's best to enjoy it to the fullest.

was DP ever trolled for her looks? I think she has been considered conventionally good looking since her debut. There are so many actresses with dusky skin tone (they anyway look lighter on camera).Suhana is just funny looking. It will be weird to see her play typical bollywood heroine in some kjo type movie.

The problem is we see her as a female SRK. The resemblance is too much to ignore.

It’s weird. If I call her hott does that mean I’m saying Shahrukh was hot 😆

My dislike for Suhana Khan has got nothing to do with her brown skin or the fact she looks like SRK.

I find her dressing style and "model-posing" tacky. Her makeup is always garish.

Today's kids don't behave their age, and my opinion is not reserved for Suhana alone, it goes for all other girls of her "gang" (yeah, I know she is 20 now but she has been like this since her teens).

Also lets not forget she got herself a VOGUE cover...... for what exactly? 😵

For me, the skin colour doesn't matter at all when I'm judging someone's beauty. In fact, I find caramel-coloured skin beautiful and gorgeous. It's the features which make or break someone's beauty, acc. to me.

Having said that, receiving negative comments for one's looks can break a person. I wish Suhana doesn't succumb to the trolls, and maintains a healthy positive attitude.

No one is born with preferences . We have been bombared by fair skinned celebrities since childhood . You think everyone would have preferred to be fair skinned if there was no colonialism and BW wasnt dominated by light skinned actors ?? People can do whatever they want but think at least once why you prefer one physical feature and not the other

I was talking about pulling the victim card, not her (dp) looks.
