Sorry. Your identity does not matter to me. But while answering you, I am presuming that you don't know the status of other regions.

Every state is unique in India with its own culture and language. A person from one state feels little out of place, when he moves to another state. Unless there is some comfort/luxury which he cannot find in his own state, he won't move his family. Though none of the states have special status, 90% of these states contain localities.

With major cities, there is an exception. Cities like Mumbai, Bangalore etc are places of opportunities. Lot of people migrate there for education and jobs. In such places, we find native population goes below 50% (and some local organisations leaders demand article 370 to be extended to their cities 😆).

Right now, there are not much job opportunities in Kashmir. If MNCs put their foot (as they can buy land now), there may be changes in and around that company. But companies just don’t buy land, if they don’t sense profit. For example, Tatas left West Bengal because they thought, running a company in Bengal was not profitable. If MNCs find the place to be risky, they don’t invest. Ordinary man also will not shift to a place, if he does not find it safe for his family. India cannot force settle people from other regions like China. So at the moment, (lack of job opportunities and volatile scenario), I don’t think Kashmir’s demography will change (no offence).

But it is a different case for Jammu. As it is relatively a peaceful place, companies might be attracted to invest at Jammu.

Whatever it is, I hope Kashmir remains peaceful and attract MNCs too. In today’s age, no one depends on government for jobs. So far Kashmiris had no choice. Hopefully they get some choice as well. I don’t know about others migrating. At least, Kashmiris will not have to migrate to other places for jobs. Hopefully better sense prevails at Kashmir. It is up to them. Either they can follow Bengal model and chase the private companies away or follow Gujrat/Maharashtra model. Yes, they need to accommodate some migrants. In turn, they can see growth in the region, where both (natives and migrants) can grow together. That is how all healthy societies/economies grow.

I don't understand why is Pakistan so involved in this? and whats with Mehbooba Mufti addressing India as a non-Indian and a outsider.

Also if Pakistan really needs peace for Kashmiris, isn't the first step to leave POK and leave India instead of taking over Kashmir and also give part of it to China, instill violence through terrorists.
