if you dont belong to the region then its better to question the locals, rather then forming such ill-informed views and showing your lack of knowledge...... India is not fighting geographical rights...... when Nehru became the prime minister, he gave extra rights to Kashmir government in return of support...... that extra power was meant for 6 months, but political parties stretched it for 70 years, just to get votes............ with this power the kashmir government did lots of illegal activities, like harassing Jammu and Ladakhi people.......... finally when it reached till their head, people from Ladakh requested the government to help them....... And they are all celebrating this freedom from harassment of Kashmir Government.......

Now go and read up more on it......

I hope the move does open doors to opportunities for those people of India who genuinely love India. It doesn't matter if you are from Kashmir or kanyakumari as long as you love India and Kashmir and want it to progress in the right direction. As a non kashmiri Indian I sure hope it eradicates terrorism and brings peace for Indians around the world.

Historically, politically & geographical whole of j&k is part of India, this ain't a mere piece of land. Pakistan even when divided never asked / wanted Kashmir, they were fine with Kashmir being independent, but their perception of extensional threat from India is what prompted them for sending troops Pashtun tribes & lashkars which led for Kashmir being annexed to India. How simple to understand this simple fact.

Previous government had all opportunities to take over even pok too but they concentrate on appeasement politics & now a government shows will to set wrong right & this has to be appreciated if not just keep quiet instead of giving illogical reasoning to seem / look cool

There are various countries at logger heads over piece of land because they are important strategically & so. So people making it a issue of just piece of land can just keep quiet

I don't know how to react to this decision, but it feels like it was long due. It feels like a good decision. More Power to India. 😁😊
