Can I just say f**k Religion. In my day to day life I dont think about religion AT ALL until I login to INDIAN NEWS PORTALS.

It's not assholery to say India has a rape problem. Because it does and one shouldn't mince words. I don't think any Indian can deny this at all. But the primary difference here is that no rapist can ever say 'India taught me to do that' nor can they misinterpret India in their own words. But a lot of Sharia laws and Jihadist propaganda is mandated by the Quran itself. What do you think of that? Why is Sharia still in existence and mandated by even the most educated muslims. I mean British Muslims want Sharia too. Even if terrorism isn't considered, Islam is still violent with its public beatings and whipping and stoning. All supposedly mandated by the Quran. Rape is an individual problem not mandated by any nation but violence is mandated by Islam. Brunei is a recent example.

I want to point out this fact. Violence is violence. Doesnt have to against another religion. Muslims killing muslims in the name of Islam is also violence.

Religion alone can only provide the basis for terroism it can't operationally spread it. The basic catalyst that uses religion as a tool to spread terror has always been state that exploits the vulnerablities of a religion. It was the Americans that created Taliban in 1980s to defeat the soviets in afganistan. It was Saudi Arabia that initially supported ISIS in Syria as it wanted to have a counterweight against Iran in that region. It is Pakistan that uses terrorsim as a counterweight against India . Every Religion can have many interpretations but to draw the most extreme one (like in the case of Jihad) has always been done by countries to meet their geopolitical needs.

Chapter (9) srat l-tawbah (The Repentance)

Sahih International: And when the sacred months have passed, then kill the polytheists wherever you find them and capture them and besiege them and sit in wait for them at every place of ambush. But if they should repent, establish prayer, and give zakah, let them [go] on their way. Indeed, Allah is Forgiving and Merciful.

Pickthall: Then, when the sacred months have passed, slay the idolaters wherever ye find them, and take them (captive), and besiege them, and prepare for them each ambush. But if they repent and establish worship and pay the poor-due, then leave their way free. Lo! Allah is Forgiving, Merciful.

Yusuf Ali: But when the forbidden months are past, then fight and slay the Pagans wherever ye find them, an seize them, beleaguer them, and lie in wait for them in every stratagem (of war); but if they repent, and establish regular prayers and practise regular charity, then open the way for them: for Allah is Oft-forgiving, Most Merciful.

Shakir: So when the sacred months have passed away, then slay the idolaters wherever you find them, and take them captives and besiege them and lie in wait for them in every ambush, then if they repent and keep up prayer and pay the poor-rate, leave their way free to them; surely Allah is Forgiving, Merciful.

Mohsin Khan: Then when the Sacred Months (the Ist, 7th, 11th, and 12th months of the Islamic calendar) have passed, then kill the Mushrikun (see V.2:105) wherever you find them, and capture them and besiege them, and prepare for them each and every ambush. But if they repent and perform As-Salat (Iqamat-as-Salat), and give Zakat, then leave their way free. Verily, Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.

Arberry: Then, when the sacred months are drawn away, slay the idolaters wherever you find them, and take them, and confine them, and lie in wait for them at every place of ambush. But if they repent, and perform the prayer, and pay the alms, then let them go their way; God is All-forgiving, All-compassionate.

Btw what are people talking about here ...every other day members here openly criticise islam and muslims what more they want 😕 99% times it's a hindu criticising or questioning his/her own religion ( which should be alright with everyone ) but hey let's come and criticise islam here and brand yourself most tolerant

Edit : on top of that people post S****y web translations of islamic texts which even we don't know about ...there are countless violent texts of hindu scriptures too on web , doesn't mean they are right .

@bold- if that was meant for me then please feel free to enlighten me about chapter 9 verse 5 ... i would really like to know more about it...in case u yourself know about it.

and hinduism gives a right to question and criticize, does Islam give the same rights?
