Beautiful thread 👏
Much needed topic chosen

Unfortunately many men though not all , consider their wives as mere objects they possess.Even if she wants to speak, she is unable to because she doesn't know whom should she talk to.
A woman also, may be very close to her, doesn't understand her and suggests her to keep shut.
If she protests, denies, the husband claims that she is not a good wife, the society also speaks foul about the lady and not the man.

This is really sad that for subject as big and serious aa marital rape our law is silent or its not yet a crime in our country!

And that is all because of the double standard society we have... One side they worship durga and same people have mentality as low as to go for female foeticide!

Yaha ek aurat hi aurat ki dushmann hai... Two woman can never b best friends is not a myth!
A woman is the one who comes front to snacth colours from other woman when she becomes a widow!
A woman is the one who desires a son the most and kills her own daughter(s)... No shame, no regret!

And saddest part is that they think its not practical to make marital rape a crime in our country!
I never knew abt such things until one of my friend joint national law university to persue LLB, 2 years back
In one casual conversation she mentioned this to me; probably when this amendment came up!
And she was already convinced that its not practical to make this a crime for a country like ours.. N tried to convince me too!

Wish for an improvement desperately!

Yes, its because its difficult to prove ...
How r u going to convince the court that a woman was raped by her husband? should she videotape her own sex video with husband and show to court ? and also

there are lot of woman who can misuse this law if it comes in to force by filing wrong complaints ..means any woman who wants to go for extra affairs or money or some other things can file a wrong complaint that she got raped by her husband because its difficult to prove and a court can't take a decision based solely on accusation. it needs proof.

That's the real problem here that the real victims never get justice while the ones who fake will always get undue advantage of loopholes in our law!

Don't knw if ever there will b solution to this!

^Ur points are valid but in cases like these my logics completely fails!

At the bold part, I have to admit, that's a very valid argument. Especially considering how cases where females have misused the new rape laws in India have come to light. However, two wrongs don't make a right.

I feel for a women to take such a matter to court - her own husband to court requires a situation that can no longer be ignored. This is a lot more different than just a girlfriend acting out of revenge on her boyfriend.

CC Team, well done. Very proud of this thread.

Brilliant work guys...👏

I appreciate you all who worked behind this, this is a very sensitive topic and very needed one too.You guys done a fab job...👏

I dont think it will change whole mindset of peoples but i believe it will help at least one person to think about it.And I feel so glad to share my thoughts about the same...

I totally agree what all thing you guys pointed here..And marital rape is too wrong. There the wife is harassed by her own husband... The person who should love her just hurting her ,He killing his own wife, Killing a girl's innocence.. Above all these the both families even her or his families not even supporting her...they thinking it as the husbands right, That is horrible..

What right a husband has to harass his own wife???

He sexually harassing her because she is his wife???

And im not at all of surprised by our law supporting marital rape , Why should i?? When the same law not giving justice to those girls who harassed by strangers , And the punishment they gave not even washing the pain, the insult, the hurt which all the girl and her family went through.. Because of these only some girls not even opening up their problem not even to their family too...this is too bad... Some mothers too not supporting them, That is really painful..they consider the fault is girls side...I don't know how can a mother think like that...

And our society is changing, their thoughts are changing but the pace is too slow.. There are peoples who think every sexual harassment is caused by girls fault... And even a girl's character is measures by the dress she wore...that is ridiculous...If a men has the right to wear what he want then why a limit line for girls???

There are a lot of things like this??? Why there is even two rules???

Treat both men and women as same..

But I know it is not possible in our near future...But I hope these low thoughts would change so soon...

Like you all said even I too think sex education is a need, But it should start at lower age, Don't wait for the child to become mature.. They should know what all things happening around us...

And even I want each and every person in this forum to read this and suggest your friend to read too...It is a very much needed topic...

Im very much thankful to all who worked behind this to bring a topic like this...

We are living in 21st century still peoples think girls cant talk in public...some family not even allowing girls to come out to public...they even restricting their right for education...These all thought should change...I know it wont change so soon but I hope for a small change...

In some families they not even has the right to chose their own carrier, Then how she get the right to chose her life partner...

There are alot of things need to change... First thing t change is our law...

And im not fully opposite to our law but a change is needed...😊
