Do you know that Pork is banned in Kashmir ? I don't see any outcry from the media when pork banned in Kashmir for religious reasons.

Besides, Cow slaughter is breaking rural economy & leading milk crisis

Unfair.

It defies freedom of expression. No one can stop me from being a vegetarian and i cannot stop anyone from consuming meat.

Aren't there better things to ban/concentrate upon?😳

^ agree with you
What happens if there is a surplus of cows? Silly question but it has been plaguing my mind.

Overcrowding- diseases - death.

I guess🤔

Or a optimistic version of it will be more milk-more exports- more revenue

India might beat Europe in dairy production and we'll become Number 1🥳

😊

I hope something good comes out of such a strange decision. I honestly thought it was strange. But I understand the religious reasons behind it. It should not affect too many people. Being vegetarian is not all bad. But it does restrict those who have a diet including meat and criminalises butchers etc. Their livelihoods will now be at risk.

They allowed water buffalo but its meat is considered low quality so automatically people are not interested in it

Thanks for telling me. Water buffalo is not something people usually eat is it?
plus I'm curious to know what happens to cows when they die? Any rituals?
