Summer, I understand your a big believer in God, and somewhere you probably think that your suffering is due to your own sins (do correct me if I am wrong to assume the same, because this is really based on my assumption of you 😆), now do you ever doubt God when things are going good, happy, etc?

I understand God is like a Bank, we can write cheques based on the credits we have. But if the account is empty we just have to tighten out strings for a while.
But looked at upon broadly we are a part of the same God we pray to.
Not all sufferings are karmic, some are there to teach and guide especially when egos are over inflated. Universe is governed by certain laws and even when a God or a Saint is born they have to follow the same laws.

Actually the Karma theory explains everything. Just need to believe that whatever goes around comes around.. in this karmic cycle.. am not sure how many non-hindus get this concept of Karma...

Not everything is Karmic, and accidents do happen.
We can try to be more careful or live in a safer area or lead a healthier life.

The discussion is strictly based on assumption, and that too on humankind and not animals.

This is not making much sense to me. We didn't materialize out of nowhere, we are extant members of the same animal kingdom, with similar genetic makeup. Hell, even a fruit fly shares 60% of DNA with us. We have the same needs as they do for food, water, air, shelter and mating. Climate and weather affects us all equally. Most of htem are as fiercely protective of their young and their territory as us. Why would their struggle for resources be any different than ours?

Human struggle is measured more on moral grounds vs animal is more or less on physical ground (struggle for existence for animals, they control their numbers not by fierce competition, as Darwin once suggested, but by limiting reproduction and there are many evidence proving the same). So it is very difficult compare both human and animal struggle on same grounds.

And to be honest I don't even understand why we are discussing animal struggle here, while the topic is stating human struggle and God equation, unless you think all animals believe in same God/Creator as humans 😆

What appears accident to us is acttually there on the Karmic project plan long before it occurs! Free will is just something we over-rate most of the time!!

Sometimes yes accidents are karmic. But none can tell for certain, so it is safer to exercise our little free will as much as possible.
Praying to God for a few seconds is a little "insurance" that helps too.
Strangely the Buddha never spoke about God. He spoke of right understanding and right actions and reasons for rebirth.

TM asked why God is seemingly turning a blind eye.

I answered that the Creator has turned a blind eye to all life forms, and those came much before humans descended onto the scene. To think that the Creator would all of a sudden give a damn about our piddly a$$ problems is to hoodwink ourselves that we are important to the Creator.

Free will is really an illusion and don't forget Buddha was born and grew up as Hindu. His ideas must have been influenced in some way by his hindu upbringing.. for all that he said or didnt say! Lot of such born hindus have perpetrated religions which may not agree with the every aspect of hinduism.

Btw just as i am typing PBS is asking for money while Deepak Chopra is giving his ideas on future of God... 😆... and God did turn a blind eye there..

Why did Lord Krishna tell Arjuna to control his mind and actions if one has little or no choice in the matter ? Krishna says " Those that think of Me at the time of death will come to Me"

Good example Summer.. this is classic way of doing ones Karma with total sense of duty without being influenced by emotions - i am sure the mind in your quote is referring to the emotional aspect rather than the rational side of it...reinforcing the sense of faith with this belief in Krishna hleps one attain higher level of consciousness and helps one connect to this sense of duty... in a better way..
