First you need to realize that along with all the weighty discussions, one also needs some light-hearted chit chat to keep life going. Instead of always asking "why", sometimes you need to ask "why not". 😉
BTW, hope you didn't take offense at the word frivolous because it doesn't necessarily have negative connotations all the time. It also stands for "playful", "merry", "lighthearted" etc.
