Crusades, holy war.. these were not started by muslims terrorists... read this, also dont forget how the Serb orthodoxy massacred the muslims in bosnia...i am not trying to defend one or the other.. just trying to say why muslims are on war-footing all the time.how christainity and islam promoters promote war..... they preceive a threat.. which is why they produce a dozen kids hoping some of them can be sacrificed for islam...etc..
The Crusades were a series of religiously sanctioned military campaigns waged by much of Latin Christian Europe, particularly the Franks of France and the Holy Roman Empire. The specific crusades to restore Christian control of the Holy Land were fought over a period of nearly 200 years, between 1095 and 1291. Other campaigns in Spain and Eastern Europe continued into the 15th century. The Crusades were fought mainly by Roman Catholic forces (taking place after the East-West Schism and mostly before the Protestant Reformation) against Muslims who had occupied the near east since the time of the Rashidun Caliphate, although campaigns were also waged against pagan Slavs, pagan Balts, Jews, Russian and Greek Orthodox Christians, Mongols, Cathars, Hussites, Waldensians, Old Prussians, and political enemies of the various popes.[page needed] Orthodox Christians also took part in fighting against Islamic forces in some Crusades. Crusaders took vows and were granted penance for past sins, often called an indulgence.[page needed][page needed]

Let us not forget the purging of Pagans across Europe under the first Holy Roman Empire. The KKK are also a white "Christian" supremacist group who are anti-semitic.

Debu - how have you not heard of Crusades? Watch Kingdom of Heaven or even Robin Hood I guess.

I have heard of the Crusades, but have never gotten into it(religion isn't my strongest suit, as you know😆) But that was during the medieval age, when people had a different type of mentality. But in today's modern times, little children are needlessly brainwashed into carrying guns and learning how to use them, in the name of God(Allah) something that is subjective, something that has not been proven as existent.

I know this is not really related to the question being asked by the OP but I have a question.

It's not a sarcastic comment at all so I'd be happy if someone could answer this for me. Well, lately it has been REALLY hot in the UK, last weekend we had the hottest weekend in the year. I got on the bus and I saw a few ladies in a black burqa and I thought to myself they must be EXTREMELY hot! That day I had a thin black jacket on me which I wore and felt veryyy hot in and took out immediately and even with my t-shirt I couldn't stand the scorching heat! So I was wondering how the ladies who wear the burqa must be feeling? Especially since black is known to attract heat! I honestly couldn't imagine what they must be feeling being covered from to toe with no ventilation at all in so much heat. So is the cloth made of a special material or something? Or is there a way they do not feel too hot, because if there isn't, I feel extremely sorry for them. I have noticed that in Mumbai, some Muslim ladies wear a burqa but I rarely ever see anyone wearing a black burqa, over there it is usually green coloured. In fact, in sri lanka I think they like the colour yellow for their burqa right? It seems to be common. So this is what I don't get, it is impossible not to feel suffocated wearing a burqa in this weather!

Debayon, religion evolves. At a point in time Christianity was violent. They brainwashed their children into carrying bows and arrows in the name of God. They had soldiers plundering in the name of a holy war. The Bible itself describes stoning, cutting of foreskins of enemy soldiers etc and other cruel punishments. Every religion has gone through violent practices. Over time reformists within the religion have challenged such practices and reformed the religion to more humane ways.

Islam is one of the youngest religions. It is yet to go through the phase of introspect and reform. While the extremists deserve the most harshest criticism, the moderates, liberals and reformists warrant support and encouragement to change the religion for the benefit of everyone.

And I think by the time Islam settles down the Scientologists who are already cra-cra will be honing their high tech weapons in the name of Zenu.

Ah Mr. Qwerty, we finally meet! I've heard loads about you 😉
and..I wonder what gave it away eh? :P

no but seriously, that is quite a big sacrifice to make. Not eating for the whole day/fasting is all fine, but actually walking outside in that heat, with the scorching sun shining on the HOTTEST DAY OF THE YEAR, that takes some a lot! I'm not sure i'd ever be able to make such a sacrifice! I'd be too scared to leave my house to do the shopping or something as I'd be scared i'd pass out in the heat or something.

So, why not consider religion and evolution of humans and their mentality as the same thing, especially since religion is ulitmately human's brainchild? Religion's evolution should be directly related to the evoluiton of mankind, right?
@ bold: 🤣 Tom Cruise heading them.
