Absolutely, that's exactly what it means. "Allah" is the Arabic term for God. The literal translation from Arabic to english would be, "There is no God, but God." I'm guessing to make it more precise, they replace the second "God" with "Allah", however there is no distinction between the two terms.

Why do you say that no other religion states this? On the contrary, all monotheistic faiths say that there is only ONE God. That is what that statement is implying, that only one God exists. Islam is clearly a monotheistic faith and this statement is only reinforcing that. Not just the Quran, the Torah and the Bible are built on this very statement that there is only one God.

P.S. I was nitpicking your post because I have no idea who exactly that is that you're quoting in your post. Just wanted to address this question.

If an educated Psychiatrist can go on a killing frenzy that leaves veri little for a common man... thats one reason a muslim with a beard boarding a flight would get reactions of hatred fear or mix of both...

For the woman, unlike a nun they dont show their face which makes it suspicious... cant a guy get into a hijab and blow up something around him...this is what some muslims have built for rest of them... so its difficult to undo this notoiriety so easilly....
If the true muslims come forward and voice their opinion against the extremists chances are this could change the worlds perspective of muslims... until then........... sad but true... stereotyping amongst common man will be a reality.....

What does that mean?

Faith comes from within. Therefore all wars regarding religion and faith are inner struggles. One cannot fight the world for a faith that lies inside one's heart.

I'm not sure exactly what you were trying to say there. Why would Muslims always be fighting against the world?

From my understanding, it's more like "There is no god, but God" - god being the humanized concept of the supreme being, while God being the actual supreme creator who is beyond human's grasp.

On a side note, what's the precise definition of a Muslim? One who submits/surrenders to the will of the Almighty, right?

Sure, that makes sense too. Its giving God a title. Its just that people start thinking that anything aside from the word "god" is religion specific --- Allah, Yahweh, etc. Which is not necessarily true, obviously all languages have a word for "god", and Arabic uses Allah.

Whoops, I quoted you before you edited ...

Yes, the word Muslim translates to one who submits to God. I think, but don't quote me on this, that the literal translation of the Arabic root means something like "one who seeks wholeness".

True there. However, I think I feel at ease calling the creator 'God' rather than any other names, because for some reason, any word other than God or The Creator immediately makes it look like a special property - even though that isn't really the case - of the respective religion.
Now go read my edited post, and respond to the part I added later.

Edit: Oops, I responded before I saw you catching up with my edit. So you have the habit of peeking at previous pages as well. 😆

The world is there, somebody must have created it?!!! Whoever created it, that creator is God. Bt do you see the implication?...... If the world is created, there can be no evolution. Evolution means creation continues....😊Do you believe in evolution also!!!!!??? bible says, world created in six days...Now from where can evolution have a possibility?there is no possibility of evolution.!!!!Actuly I feel, all our so called religious leaders have been taking you away from yourself, towards God.....God is the longest distance from you...... If you want a definition of God, that will do... The longest distance from you..., the absolute distance from you....And all the religions are taking you towards God.... They are really taking you away frm urself..... Their whole conditioning is to help you forget yourself.... They teach you to remember God, thy don't teach you to remember yourself.......I don't know how people are going to love God....cos we don't know what God looks like... we don't know from where to approach Him,.. which side is His face etc...Just all junk.... Nobody knows.....All these gods that you know in the temples, in the churches, or FB drawings blah blah are the drawings of children, nothing more. we have been told to seek and search for something which always takes us away from ourself... That's why people are not interested in truth because I strongly believe truth is within you, it is you....😊
