I guess Krishna consciousness ranks as one of the most treasured prizes. It is said that most holy nams have 2 sylabbles and have the power to awaken our consciousness.

Actually, summer , not everyone is well conversant with krishna consciousness . What is this about the 2 syllables - care to expand on that 😊

I always wonder what is it that is most important in life?

Some say values, some say Truth, some say wealth, some say God or the teachings in various texts like the Bhagavad Gita.

Of course, opinions may differ, but I think faith in God is the most important thing in life. Everything else, like values, truth, wealth, education, prosperity, etc comes from that.😊

I wud like to differ here lalitha 😊 One can have values, truth, wealth, edu, prosperity even without having faith in God. It wud be more interesting to know what builds up faith instead !

They may, but I am saying that if one simply has faith in God and nothing else, the others will gradually build up. God gives to his devotees everything they need, so even if they are a poor beggar with no value or money or anything, but simply faith in God, God will give them everything.

Well I feel that if one has full faith in God then one wouldnt even mind any situation one finds oneself in, whether prosperous or not. Krishna consciousness itself wud B enough for the bliss !

I think the Krishna form is most remarkable and He remained ever youthful and charming. Although Rama is the ideal to follow the charm of Krishna is hard to resist.

Baby Krishna too has inspired many painters.

Very beautiful topic and introduction.
Krishna to be is divinity...his flute is a hollow bamboo, brought to life only by his blow of air! ... And the tune are His guidance, His teachings, His divine attributes ... listening to which the Gopis (also the name of the scholars of his time ... and gopi is not just the female) danced, forgetting all. Danced with joy.

Anyways ... do carry on, adding peace and love for all.

Try these links if you have the time or interest ... they are interesting nonetheless...

sorry for being ambiguous. Basically most Holy names have two syllables means
Ra + ma = Rama
Si + va = Siva
Krish + na = Krishna
O + m = Om
Je + sus = Jesus
Al + lah = Allah
Of course some names are much longer but we normally reduce it for purposes of japa etc.
Numerologically too they are considered special it seems eg. OM and RAMA both add up to the vibration of 7.
Anyway no matter what hopy Name we use, faith and confidence are important.
