It's not surprising that there are philosophical ideas out there that propose that one's own mind is all that exists (Solipsism) or ideas that even deny the existence of self (all-encompassing nihilism). It's surprising that I stumbled upon them because I was, at one point, trying to locate other views out there that coincided with mine.
It's not surprising that there people who had such thoughts in the 19th or 20th or the 21st century. It's surprising that Brahma Sutras talked about the formless reality ages ago.
Did I go looking for them or did they come knocking at my head is what I am thinking about.

I think enlightened beings are found in every era. Einstein was a highly evolved soul too.
Even Christ said "Knock and it shall be opened". I think we are being watched every second and it is hard to be alone.
If Truth is a mountain I guess there are many way to climb it.
To some extent even practising silence and quietitude is like a drug and can be addictive.

Under communism the Chief or the Head plays an active role, but God has a "hands off" policy and practises democracy. Things just happens in his presense.

I like that. I really do. But if we are being fair, the same goes for un-truth as well. One fine day, I don't want to realize that I was, all along, climbing the wrong mountain.

After I am done here on this thread, I will be sure to take with me one or two gems from you. a) Do not have thoughts run around like a bull in your mind; aim to take control b) the power of quietude.

I don't want to start conversations that veer off from the main topic. But my bad, I took the first shot. Tsk Tsk.

Again disregarding all points presented to demonstrate how Karamphal makes us what we are --- and your question was "Who I Am". How is this discussion veering off from the "main" topic, K? Mind elaborating.

But just to clear up your misconceptions about me, I would say this: I said "your commander", not mine. As far as I am concerned, there is no ant, there is no commander, there is no you and there is no "is". I am going back and forth on whether I exist which is why I started the topic - WHO AM I?

Ahhh....you introduce the "commander" and you go around making all the assumptions about him being judgmental and interfering and then you turn around and tell me that you were talking about MY commander not yours😆 If you really want to talk about MY commander - btw, I don't call it a "commander" in case you still have not noticed it - then I would suggest you pay attention to what I have been writing and what my views on the Force are.

Of course, you exist --- even if you feel you are a mere illusion, that illusion sure exists.

I believe that if our efforts are sincere the guidance will definitely come, so we will be directed to the right mountain.
At times our patience may be tested but from what I read no spiritual effort goes to waste and continues life after life.
There is always a debate about a personal and an impersonal God but it is quite hard to tear ourselves from a personal God once attachment develops. God with form is only a cup to drink the immortal spirit and we have to eventually go beyond the form but there are many who do not want the formless aspect eventhough they know the Truth. I guess it is to each his own.
😊 Younger days I used to pray but never developed much love for God but in later days I grew to respect and have some love for God. Hopefully the flame will get larger as time goes.

some poems by Jalal-ud-Din Rumi .. sufi poet... pertinent to the topic.
Existence.
What do I know if I exist or not?
This is all I know, my Beloved:
When I exist, I am non-existent;
When I am non-existent, I exist!
The Eternal Idea.

You may seem to be the microcosm;
In fact, you are the macrocosm.
The branch might seem like the fruit's origin:
In fact, the branch exists because of the fruit.
Would the gardener have planted the tree at all
Without a desire and hope for fruit?
That's why the tree is really born from the fruit
Even if it seems the fruit is created by the tree.
The idea which comes first comes last in realization—
Particularly that idea which is eternal.
