There was some controversy whereby certain persons in Malaysia , a muslim country , divorced the wife through sms. Now the Govt does not want to recognise such divorces. Apparently it is practised in some countries.
Read somewhere that Saudi Arabia allows it. I doubt they can be that backward.

How about marriage thru SMS ?

Can one consumate marriage via SMS 😉

If he wants to divorce via sms than he should have followed the whole darn thing via SMS to begin with 😛

BTW "if you don't leave your parents house, you'll be divorced", One of the All time favorite dialogues 🤔

Well in a way it is true. But certain parents can also be very demanding according to the Zee serials.

what if they leave a voicemail "talak talak talak"...after they conference in themaulvi?😆

You do not text message breakup. Although, in my next life I want to be a guy and leave three 'talak' post it notes on the refrigerator.

To reconfirm the wife can ask him to reconfirm message and identify the name and give passport or other numbers. or other questions like: who is your favourite actress? what do you normally like to eat?

Looks like it is only one way, this Talak Talak Talak.

The wife cannot use it to divorce the husband.

But I am sure they must have rectified this to make it equitable.

Also in Nepal it had been used by some Muslim men, to divorce

and not pay any compensation to the wife.

Cloddy Bhai be careful as there are some women who aspire to be the second wife or mistress or lover etc. So if the husband is involved with such ladies, then it is very hard for the husband to get out of their clutches. He cannot tell the wife or face her, so he will sms the wife and then throw the phone away.😆
