I feel this is not a dance show any more!! I used to love this show and now when I watch I feel I am watching a circus!! All the girls are loosing because they are dancing and cannot compete with the boys for circus acts.
It is a shame to see all the good dancers like Vrushali, Mandakani, Khushboo got eliminated and people like Prince are getting the highest votes. Are we forgetting that at the end of the it is about dancing? Too bad everyone got distracted from the dance and paying more attention to who can jump or pump.
This is what I feel!! Comments...

I would partially agree on this not being a dance show, from the begining. I will not compare it with circus. Everyone is projecting thier own strengths and variations, now why people should give more points to stunts driven performances, thats individuals choice will leave it alone and not rename/blame the show for it.

i kinda agree...its more drama based now and i really do think that better dancers are getting out, when it should be ppl like sunita leaving.
but still think that stunts are an important part of dancing an i wish girls would try harder to do them

If you do some research on the different dance forms in the world, you can see that there are dozens of them, and many Indians are not familiar with them. This show in the manner will provide an opportunity for exposure to so many dance forms outside India. Even in Contemporary dance, there are so many forms. What Jai did bungee is Aerial dance. What Khushboo did with ribbons is Aerial silk dance. What Prince does is locking and popping - with break dance. What Salman did with rope is aerial acrobat rope dance. What Mayuresh did with the ring is aerial ring dance. What Mayuresh did with the poles is pole dance - also similar to Malkhamb in India.

Yes, most aerial acts are adapted from circus, but they are still dance forms. Because in circus, the focus is only on the risky stunt, whereas in dance, it consists of moves that are very much dance - the way the body moves, the angles of each part of the body, the way the toes are pointed, the way each movement is done while on the prop...

Then there were many salsa, flamingo, etc dances which are all from South America, Spain, etc. In this era of globalization, it's good to learn about all the dances outside India too. 😃

Looks like you talked about all the dances from all over the world but a dance from India.
This show is called dance india dance. I am not against the dances from the other culture but we are seeing less of the dances and more of a phisical strength. I am just not enjoying the show.

one thing i'll agree on is the show's getting boring solely b/c of it's monotonous nature. They should bring new variety in dances, i'm tireddd of watching something similar week after week. Also, the level of the show is dropping bc every contestant is staying in their comfort zone, they're just not coming out of it and it's just getting boringgggg! They need to do stuff more challenging and completely out of their forte and not just once but EVERY WEEK! what's the point of showing us what you're good at? we know it!

The good dancers left are Alisha, Jai and Salman.
Please bring a life back to the show.
