It is true that relationships fail if there is no equal contribution of everyone involved, not just marriages or love, any relationship. Similarly, relationships also fail if both the people involved give up without even trying. During the time when Suhasini insulted appa and Adarsh was angry about it, Swadheenta said the same thing. That he was being angry for the both of them, and there was no need for her to be angry too. Today's situation is similar, only magnified a several 100 times. And they are both upset and distressed. But Swadheenta is the stronger person. And she is being able to handle herself. She knows that Adarsh is not, and she is being supportive.
He is an IAS officer by profession. We have to assume that he has done some good work, and has helped many people if he is called "Robinhood" by people in his constituency. So what? He is also a man with emotions. I am still maintaining that the only reason Adarsh is so convinced that Asad killed Abhay is because Abhay's last word was "Asad". he said it yesterday. Abhay said "Asad" and not "Aravind". And now his killer may go scot free, and thanks to his wife. He is frustrated. He is emotionally drained. Should this not happen to an IAS officer? What is the expiry date to his emotional situation? If he is an IAS officer, it has to end in 2 days? As a house wife, Simmi can cry all her life? Is that it? That is the point that I don't understand. He lost his brother. He died in his arms saying "Asad". He did not immediately think anything of it, until the cop told him that Asad killed him.
Swadheenta has every reason to prove Asad's innocence. Adarsh doesn't. Yes, for the betterment of the country, there is a terrorist on the loose. He has to be caught. But that is a cop's job. Not an IAS officer. And that fact that Aravind gets caught doesn't change the fact in his mind that Asad killed Abhay. And that Haider maamu got the gift. It is the prosecutor's contention that Haider trained all of them. So what is Haider maamu told everyone that Aravind gave the gift?
When it comes to the actual case, Swadheenta has means to refute the circumstantial evidence. And she is asking the right questions. But it is also true that she does not have the answers to those questions. She is letting everyone talk and is quietly listening to everyone's taunts because she knows that today evidence is not on her side. She is not stupid. She has given it to Suhasini before. She may be more respectful, but she is not a martyr. The day she has any credible proof that the Jilani's are actually innocent, she won't listen to anyone's taunts. And no one will taunt her.
My only contention is that in real life, if someone acted like Adarsh, we would all be in support of him. The only reason why we are angry with him now is because he is portraying a character in a show where as an audience, we know the entire truth. That is why I don't have a problem with Adarsh or any of the Sinha's.
But, if he does not go out of his way to make amends and correct this situation as soon as he finds out the truth, or even starts doubting his present judgement, then I will be highly disappointed. At the moment, Adarsh still has my vote. 😃
