No doubt that all the actors are doing a splendid job with their role portrayal in the current track. Who thought the show that began with such a unique & fresh concept will take such a drastic turn in the storyline.đ
Here is my analysis on all the characters so far-
1. Suhasini Sinha- A woman with substance. The way she tries to manage all the relations in the family is watchable & worth appreciating.
2. Manohar Sinha- A man whose life revolves around the words of her wife. I never found this man as a beaurocrat in the entire series from any point.
3. Jaidev Sinha- Similar to his father but a little entangled in his own personal dilemma which he could never overcome until his wife came forward. I like him as an elder brother because he plays that role convincingly.
4. Jaya Sinha- An obedient wife, daughter-in-law & a home maker with sweet & understanding nature & her sole motive is the well being of her family & husband.
5. Simmi Sinha- A very childish & demanding girl who has always been protected in her life from all the world affairs first by her father, then husband & now the in-laws will protect her. This makes him all the more demanding & a bit immature. I am actually looking forward for how this character will shape in the next episodes now.
6. Abhay Sinha- Only the male in the Sinha Family with his wits & spine. He actually thinks & is so far the best son, husband & brother. He has pretty well balanced his personal relations in this show & every man must be like him actually, a well balanced man. His death has deeply saddened me.đ
7. Adarsh Sinha- Honestly, as an IAS officer, his role has never been able to convince me because I never saw him actually thinking & behaving like an IAS officer. He is little too emotional (bit filmy romantic). He has failed me a no. of times when I had expected him to actually behave with sense. No doubt he has been good as a lover, son & the brother, but still your post describe & affect the way you think & behave. I know he is in state of shock right now & he needs time to overcome it but I am actually hoping forward for him to emerge as a true bureaucrat going behind the truth & the justice.
8.Swadheenta Ramakrishnan(Sinha)- Another important pillar of the show & a woman with wits, opinion, values, strong morale & ethics. Her character has always been at its best as a lawyer, daughter, lover, would be wife, sister, etc. Her relation with every other character of the show has given an insight to how balanced a woman must be. She is non-baised at times which amazes me to the core. The next episodes will only show a more mature & a fairly well-balanced girl to all the relations she has held & currently hold in her life which will be worth watching. Away from typical woman role portrayal on Indian TV, her role actually has a substance relating very closely to the real world- her conservations in accepting Adarsh initially, stand she took for her parents, solving Sinha family internal issues & now how she will prove her loyalty to Gilani's in the upcomming episodes.
9. Asad Gilani- My favorite character. He is the best brother, friend, lover & son so far. The innocence in his character makes me feel a connection to his character. HIs death has troubled me the most in this show even more than Abhay's. His relations with everyone else have been so beautifully portrayed.
10. Mr. & Mrs. Ramakrishnan- Swa's Parents are very conservative like most of the parents in Indian society. Her mother is very obedient to her husband & her father is a kind of sticking to his principles & interest kind of person. No doubt, Swa has got strong moral foundation from her father & obedience & love for relations from her mother.
11. Mr. & Mrs. Gilani- A very fair & real portrayal of a true Indian Muslim citizens who are compassionate from heart and have given their son the same values of respecting humanity over religion & caste. Their care for Swa has always amazed me in this show which actually relates to all those Muslim families out there who serve humanity over other factor. Their present condition saddens me to the core. Mrs. Gilani's grief for her husband & son takes my heart away(the portrayal is so natural & real) & Mr. Gilani's helplessness at this moment can't be explained & felt by anyone in real sense.
12. Radhika- I am looking forward for how this girl's role will shape in proving Asad innocent because she is the true & closest witness as she knows the truth of Asad's friends & all the situations which made Gilani's stuck in this problem unknowingly at the first place. (She knows how friends tricked Asad into lending them his own flat. this is an important fact)
13. Yash- This man makes me hate him so much because of his shallowness. For his alter ego & a girl who rejected him for Asad, he has chosen his revenge against Asad over his duty, commitments & ethics as an army man. I actually want him to suffer for this one decision of his life.
14. Mr. Ahuja- I don't know about this man, because we have seen him as a doting father & a cunning man for whom his money & profit is everything. But seeing him breakdown for Abhay was sad. He actually portrays a father who can be anything for outside world but for his children he would want only the best & their happiness over anything else.
Now, the question I have to ask is-
How will Asad's death or the sufferings of the Gilani's in this show be justified once their innocence is proved.
They have fallen prey to the corruption of bureaucrats, scheming of the closest friends & more importantly to the fact they are Muslims.
They have become the prime convict only because they are muslims in the first place & our pre-assumed notions towards the muslims make them guilty, responsible & prime suspects for all such happenings.
And the people with the real such motives take advantage of this. Gilani's were the muslims so everyone assumed in the very first instance that they were terrorists without giving them any chance of saying anything at all.
The way police is shown behaving is true & real but what will be the punishment given to them once Asad & Mr. Gilani comes out clean. In this case, an innocent has been encountered under the false charges & prove their point they have alleged him of being a terrorist. Will, stripping Yash of his honors do justice.
Believe it or not, but their are muslims who have to pay for being muslim for their entire lives.
Abhay's death is justified as he died on his duty. He is a martyr who died serving his country. But Asad, how will his death be justified. He was a 18 year old boy who was serving his country as an Indian citizen risking his life & then he was killed by the so-called guards of our society, the policemen. Or how will the sufferings of the Gilani's be justified. Govt. will award Asad with the bravery medal once his innocence is proved but will he get justice in true sense. The sufferings of the Gilani's in this entire period, the false accusations, the nasty remarks for a true hero can never be justified by any condolences, media statements, bravery medals or anything else.
This track has actually portrayed several points altogether-
1. The corruption on the higher level to which honest officers fall prey to.
2. Our notions about all muslims being of terrorist ideology.
3. Insenstivity of media. (We'll definitely see it in the upcoming episodes)
4. Convicting innocents of the crime they never did & then apologizing by the courts & the govt. This actually never heal the wounds of the sufferings.
5. Battle of a lady (Swa) to prove her family innocent & at the same time balancing with her personal life issues.
6. Failure of intelligence agencies. ( A criminal behind the bars warns about the possible bomb blasting in the city & the officers assigned have no idea)
7. How can the slightest of blind-faith in people can cause us to pay a very heavy price. (Asad's friends)
8. Why the police in India can't be trusted at the first place in India in case some criminal activity happens.( Because chances of them becoming a suspect increase tremendously & people care more for themselves than for other.)
9. Mistakes of officers in communicating right information on the right time. (Why did Abhay not see that photo. is a question)
No matter on what note this show ends but Asad's death will never be justified for me in any sense & this actually makes me thing of all those innocents who have been falsely convicted & accused of the crimes they never did & had to undergo severe punishment irregardless of gender, caste, religion, nationality & other factors. Gilani's will never get true justice as their life wont be same after this fiasco. They will live but a dead life with no happiness in it.
We have seen real life examples of such case & now this is a summed up portrayal of some of them.
The track which will showcase the next journey towards justice will be all the more difficult, reliving & of mixed reactions.
I am not a muslim but injustice saddens me to the core. Convicting any innocent in real life whether on the basis of gender, caste, religion, nationality upsets me as a human & I believe that I am a human being first & then any other person. & It is sad that this happens a lot in the real life while the real convict gets away from the punishments.
I am feeling way too emotional with this track, its symbolism & its close linkage to our real lives because of which I had to write this long post letting out all of my feelings about this show & this track particularly.
I know this is a very long post, many wouldn't even read it. but still all the opinions along with any bashes are invited.
