What should do India next?

I don't know if people agree with me or not but i think if India wants sucess the first thing would be to fire the coach. Since he has come in everything has gone downwards. And I especially hate his attitude, like arguing with the press. Another good thing would be changing the captain because everyone can see DRAVID can't captain a team but i think hes a good batsman. Also, lets get rid of these old people, sachin is the past lets move on. Get rid of Ganguly hes played well but he said before this WC this would be his last, so theres no use of him give someone else a chance. Also, DHONI, the team should only give him one or two more chances and if doesn't perform then get rid of him. The last thing I would say is changing the selecter, he has made some wrong decisions.

Sorry if I said too much or something wrong because I am just so mad at the Indian team because they didn't lose the match... it looked like they are new people on the field and don't know much about cricket.

What do you guys think?

I agree with you for the most part. Only i think we need someone aggressive like Ganguly to lead the team until someone younger is able to take charge (Yuvraj perhaps?)...

You made some good points. I will like to add
few things..

I think to be in an Indian team is very different than in any other team(except may be Pakistan) of the world. Cricket is a religion in India. They worship you like God and than they burn your house including your murti(effigies). People are crazy about cricket..The pressure can be just too much..

The presence of Greig Chappell did not help the team a bit... He created more insecurities and divided the team than bringing professionalism in the team.

The team has the best batsman in the world including Tendulkar, Dravid..if they go out early the morale of the team just sinks and they crumble like a pack of cards most of the time..

The team needs some mental tuning how to deal with the above pressure and how not always to be in the shadow of the best batsmen and try to develop their own self confidence.

Of course, we are not at par with other teams in fielding, running between the wickets, catching and bowling..So there needs a lot to be done..

I think ...first step right step should be the resignation of entire BCCI members ..as they all have spoiled the real flavour of this game for their own petty interests . Why should we always blame coach ..players and above all captain???

I will use an analogy here that an building can stand only if the base, the pillars and the supports that hold the building together are strong.
Same thing with cricket, this has been said for years, the foundation of cricket is not strong in India. We all live in illusion thinking that since cricket is so popular here it is a religion that is why cricket is so great and it is our best sport. When infact it is the total opposite, the public mania feeds all the illegal activities, the advertisements, the media frenzy and the fanatical pressure. We feed this culture for players who play in India that they are bigger than the sport itself. Which is not entirely their fault, public and media are partly to blame for this. There is a line that should not be crossed when it comes to burning effigies, players are not political faces they play a sport, burning effigies and destroying their houses are acts of holliganism and is shameful. The media should stop the blame game, they are cruel to an extent of absurdity where they think they are personally responsible to find the culprits of losing a game. There should be healthy discussion, critique and recommendation, STOP BASHING. Infact when the media does it, it makes the public even more crazy and thinks just get worst.

The responsibility should be with the indian cricket board who have to nurture a different culture for the players. Young and fresh talent constantly brought in, make the fielf competitive, teach them team spirit, you cant teach guts but a leader should be present who has guts so he can influence rest of the team, we need a leader like ponting. The team needs an agressive attitude just like the australians, do or die, win at all costs. This all starts with the team management and well coaching. Players should also be well disciplined, there is nothing wrong with endorsements and other extra-curricular activities, but they should stop dilly daddling and train hard, be fit and full time athletes. They are not models and not entertainers, they are athletes and I think the Indian players forget that and start to believe they are superstars.
