| LOOKING GOOD, FROM TOP TO BOTTOM! | | | | | FROM TOP: | | | | | Hair products and routines? | | | | | I enjoy using Paul Mitchell products particularly the tea tree oil range. Hair Shampoo, conditioner and gel. I shampoo a lot and use a hair dryer so the conditioner is important. | | | | FACE: | | | | | Facial products and routines? | | | | | Just sunscreen and lip salve to protect the lips from the sun – Gillette shaving gel and Channel for men and Aramis after shave lotion. | | | | BODY: | | | | | Body products used? | | | | | Sanex deodorant, Powder by Johnson | | | | CLOTHES: | | | | | What is your type of clothing style? | | | | | I have no special favourite apart from two pairs of Paul Zilleri jeans, Kurt Geiger shoes and a Tag watch presented to me by Hansie Cronje and the South African team when I left in 1999. | | | | TO BOTTOM: | | | | | Footwear style? | | | | | I have sponsored Adidas training shoes which I coach in and prefer to wear shorts. | | | | | | | | ABOUT LIFE! | | | | RULES OFF THE FIELD/PITCH:: | | | | | 10 rules or morals that you live by each day | | | | | My mantra is this: "Yesterday is history, tomorrow a mystery and today is the present – a gift make the most of it"
I use the six "S" for success as a guide line to do well: Improve your: Skill Speed Stamina Suppleness Strength - Spirit.
- My Philosophy is:
" Your mind is like a parachute if it does not open it will not work!" | | | | CAN'T LIVE WITHOUT: | | | | | Products or people you couldn't go a day without ? | | | | | I like to be in contact with my wife Gill every day as I travel a lot, so my Cellphone comes in as a real necessity.
We email and sms each other every day when we are apart. | | | | WHERE WE EAT, SLEEP AND HANG OUT : | | | | | List favourite places to eat, sleep and hang out? | | | | | We are members of the CCA (Conservation Corporation of Africa) and my favourite game viewing camp is Klein 's camp in Tanzania while the most wonderful beach resort is on Mnemba Island just off Zanzibar .
The best Hotel I have stayed in on the cricketing circuit is the Taj West End Hotel in Bangalore. | | | | SUPERSTITIONS : | | | | | List any routines or good luck charms you have to have or do before a game? | | | | | No touch wood! I used to put my left pad on first for good luck but it didn't always work so I lost faith in superstition. | | | | OTHER: | | | Mentor/s: Colin Cowdrey , Alan Knott and my late Father | | | Favourite quote: When things are tough 400-1 on day two – Stuart Leary (late of Kent and Charlton Athletic) "Don't worry you could be down a pit working on the coal face but there is one thing you can't stop and that is the clock" | | | Sporting friendships with opponents: Too many to list, but I will say that I have been privileged to play and be involved with some of the greatest cricketers and have enjoyed learning from them. | | |
