Pune : Dhoni, Raina, Ashwin, McCullum, Bravo

Rajkot: Jadeja, Rahane, Steve Smith, Watson, Samson

The first capped player would be paid 12.5 crore while the remaining four capped players are to get Rs 9.5 crore, Rs 7.5 crore, Rs 5.5 crore, and Rs 4 crore respectively. Uncapped players can be picked for a stipulated fee of Rs 4 crore.

The main player auction for unpicked players and others will be held on February 6 in Bengaluru.

Ok, guys, I've not been following this story, but how did Pune & Rajkot end up as the new franchise members? In case of Rajkot, didn't they have competition from within their state from Baroda and Ahmedabad?

Like in 2011 when first time Pune and Kochi were added, Sahara first bid for kanpur and wanted kanpur as their base but Kanpur didn't have an international airport that time so they had to pick Pune as their base.

The problem lies with Pune. Why Pune? 🥱 Why not Cuttack, Ranchi or any east zone team?

That way each zone would have had 2 teams. I am sure there will be a team from Dharamshala before any team from east zone. 🤢

You are damn right, there's no new team from East, why these bloody discrimination ! Manohar gets 9 matches for his Nagpur and Thakur gets 8 matches for Dharamshala in the coming WT20. How come Dharamshala gets the prized Ind vs Pak match, that stadium has the capacity of only 23000, why not other venue selected for the most anticipated match of the tournament ! ICC and BCCI can go to any extend to fulfill their own vested interests and sacrificing revenue and general public's interest for that !
