its me once again, im so sorry for the bother but i really need help,u told me to try not just hope for the answer, believe me i tried!i just dont get it...? plzzzz help me!
1.44 kg student on in-line skates is playing with a 22 kg excercise ball. disregarding friction, explain what happens during the following situations.
A. the student is holding the ball and both are at rst. the student then throws the ball horizontally, causing the student to glide back at 3.5 m/s.
B. explain what happens to the ball in part (a) in terms of the momentum of the student and the momentum pf the ball
C.the student is initally at rest. the student then catches the ball, which is intitally moving to the right at 4.6 m/s.
D.explain what happens to in part(c) in terms of the momentum of the student and the momentum of the ball.
2. a boy stands at one end of a floating raft that is stationary relative to the shore. he then walks in a straight line to the opposite end of the raft, away from shore.
A. what is the total momentum of the boy and the raft before the boy walks across the raft.
B. what is the total momentum of the boy and the raft after the boy walks across the raft?

1)You have put questions A,B,C,D. But it looks like A and B together make one question. Likewise, C and D together make one question. A is the situation and B is the question on that situation. C is the situation and D is the question on that situation. Let me know if it is correct.
And you have given mass of the student as 1.44 kg.
Are you sure that you typed correctly? 1.44 kg is too small.

2A)Both the boy and the raft are at rest. Therefore total momentum of the boy and the raft = 0
B) Ignoring frictional force from water, the total momentum of the boy and the raft system is zero. This is because the net force on the system = 0. Therefore, the momentum of the system is conserved. Initial momentum is zero. Therefore, by conservation of momentum, the final momentum is also zero.
The boy moves away from the shore. The raft moves towards the shore so that the total momentum of the system becomes zero.

you are actually rite the mass is 44 not 1.44!

1 A,B) Let mass of student = Ms,
mass of the ball = Mb

Then Ms = 44 kg
Mb = 22 kg

Take the direction in which the ball is thrown as positive.
Consider the ball + the student as the system under consideration.
Before the student throws the ball, the system is at rest. Therefore the momentum of the system = 0

After the student throws the ball, let velocity of ball = Vb,
velocity of student = Vs
Then Vs = - 3.5 m/s
By conservation of momentum, the momentum of the system = 0
Or Ms * Vs + Mb * Vb = 0
Or 44 * (-3.5) + 22 * Vb = 0
Or - 44 * 3.5 + 22 * Vb = 0
Dividing by 22,
- 2 * 3.5 + Vb = 0
Or Vb = 7.0 m/s
Ans: The ball is thrown with speed 7.0 m/s

C,D) Take the direction towards right as positive.
Let
ub = velocity of the ball just before the student catches it,
us = velocity of the student just before he catches the ball.

After the student catches the ball, the ball and the student have common velocity.
Let the common velocity = v
Then us = 0
ub = 4.6 m/s
By conservation of momentum,
Momentum of the student + the ball system after the student catches the ball = the momentum of the system before the student catches the ball
Or (Ms + Mb) * v = Ms * us + Mb * ub
Or (44 + 22) * v = 44 * 0 + 22 * 4.6
Or 66 * v = 22 * 4.6
Or v = 22 * 4.6/66 = 4.6/3 = 1.53 m/s
This is positive, meaning towards right.
Ans: The student and the ball move to the right with speed of 1.53 m/s

Hi sabbz, Are you talking about Muslim traditions? Which country?
I know very little about Muslim traditions. So hope somebody else can help. Or else, please write in your own words what points you have. Then I will edit if needed.

im muslim,i probably can help
tradition meaninv like values? liek cluture passed down or traditona tth comes wit religion?
ill try to help u out
well in my opinion tradition is very important and worth preserving. one positive point would be that the traditions u follow r tht make you unique or tht make youa good follower of ur religion.like for us in islam if u keep to the rules of islam ur gurnatee rewards, good deeds and etc
negative points
i think traditonally religious is a good hting. but traditonally culturistic isnt all tht great. cuz look if ur traditions r like for example evil eye,in islam there is such thing as evil eye,but to do all this usperstion and culture stuff like put the money around the person wiht the evil eye and etc isnt liked.
so in tht case its engative because it has nothing to do with the right traditions, theyre made up probably from supestitons,or other relgious cultures..u no? id unno if id idnt help try explaining more and ill try helping

Consider the three mechanisms of succession - facilitation, inhibition, tolerance. Can you suggest an experiment to find the mechanism of succession on succession plates? Thanks.
