Note: That 3 is there because 9/3 = 3. In 9/3, the 9 is the 9 of 9V20 and 3 is the 3 of 3V10

Thanks soo much Akhl, I was solving this the really really long way, by simplifying out everything, thanks so much :)

Dividing Radicals... I don't get how to rationalize a denominator, so I'm having troubles on this question.

4/V5-1

4/V5-1
Multiply both the numerator and the denominator by V5+1
Then numerator will become 4(V5+1) and denominator will become (V5-1)(V5+1)
which is equal to 5-1 = 4

Can you solve now? Let me know if you need any help.
Answer will be V5 + 1

^^ Okay so rationalizing means doing the opposite? Which you did with the V5 +1.
And when you multiplied the numerator and denominator by V5+1, wouldn't the numerator be 20 +1, and the denominator be 25-1? Did you reduce or something?

@Ayeshaa
Here is the complete solution

To understand it, note the following
(1) (a-b)(a+b) = a^2 - b^2
(2) (Va)^2 = a where a is any non-negative number.
(3) 4 multiplied by 5 is 20 but 4 multiplied by V5 is not 20
(4) Square of 5 is 25 but square of V5 is 5

ANYONE ON?
I need help
Chemistry suckss

1 ) Imagine you were standing on the tip of a boron-11 nucleus. Describe the numbers and kinds of subatomic particles you would see looking down on the nucleus, and those you would see looking out from the nucleus?

5 protons and 6 neutrons will be seen in the nucleus and 5 electrons will be seen outside the nucleus.

I need some information on genes of Drosophila.

1. Unf is on which chromosome? Is the answer 2R?

2. What is an ortholog? Does unf have an ortholog? If yes, please tell the names of the organisms.

3. CyO is on which chromosome? Is the answer 2L?

4. Is there anything special about CyO? If yes, what is it and what kind of marker is it?

5. What are the phenotypes observed in unf mutants?

Is there any online scientific database from where we can get the answers to the above questions? If yes, let me know the url and also how u searched for these info.
Thank you

hello, i am Aditi a 9 standard student. I have some queries about chemistry...
1] According to what i know... the valency of nitrogen is 3...then how is NH4+ formed ??
2] In the polyatomic ion NO3- which ion has a negative charge...??

Thanks in advance 😃 ...you people are doing a great job...👏

Does the unf gene in Drosophila have ortholog? If yes, name the organism(s) and also give some description in short.
