@WhiteFantasy,
What is a point participle?
A point particle is an object which is so small that the distance between its different parts can be neglected for practical purposes. The previous question you posted asked the conditions under which the motion of a football can be considered equivalent to the motion of a point particle.

A crochet is stopped by mallet. IT first slows down and then stops. Can the average velocity and acceleration be the same signs (as in positive/negative)?
In some other cases, velocity and acceleration can be the same sign, but not in this example. In this example, the average velocity is positive. This is because it starts with a positive velocity and finally stops i.e. final velocity becomes 0. Average between a positive number and 0 is a positive number.
But acceleration in this case is negative because the velocity is decreasing.

If a car slows down, can the acceleration ever be negative?

Yes,if the car is slowing down then the acceleration is negative because velocity is decreasing.
Acceleration =(final velocity - initial velocity)/time
If the car is slowing down, then final velocity is less than initial velocity, so acceleration is negative.

lmao. 🤣
I'm taking mine in Flushing HS šŸ˜›
Um,
first of all,
You should not second guess yourself. If a question is taking u mroe than one min. Move on, no matter how much you want to get it right.
Idk, what else to say. šŸ˜†

Magical pixie dust.
And if that doesn't work, use the old fashion way... it is very old-fashioned, its called studying!!

Good luck. hope u do great. 😃

Chemistry:

How could you separate a mixture consisting of 500 kg of white sand (density = 2.2 g/mL), 50kg of pennies (density = 8.96g/mL), 10kg of small nails (density = 7.86g/mL) and 1 kg of fine platinum granules (desnity = 21.45g/mL)? The sand and platinum granules are the same size.

I need to use one of the methods listed below, and I was thinking of Gravity Separation, but I'm not sure, confused:\

Here are the lists of methods:

Mechanical Mixtures

Mixture type: Solid in Solid

Methods:

Hand Separation : Large chunks present among other solids

Gravity Separation : The density of the desired solids is much different from the density of the other solids

Solvent extraction : One solid preferentially dissolves in a particular solvent

Chromatography : The solids are coloured, present in small amounts and are soluble in some solvent or mixture of solvents

Mixture type: Solid in Liquid

Methods:

Hand Separation: A few large pieces of solid are present in the liquid

Gravity Separation: Solid particles are present in a small amount of liquid

Filtration: Solid particles are present in a large amount of liquid

Solutions

Mixture type: Solid in Liquid

Methods: Evaporation: The solid is wanted and the liquid is not

Distillation: The liquid is wanted; the solid may or may not be wanted

Solvent extraction: An immiscible added solvent preferentially dissolves at least one but not all of the solids present

Recrystallization: One dissolved solid is much less soluble than the others present( if any); the liquid is not wanted

Chromatography: Small amounts of more than one coloured solid are present; the liquid present is not wanted

Mixture type: Liquid in Liquid

Methods: Distillation: Two or more liquids are present and have different boiling temperatures

Solvent extraction: An immiscible added solvent preferentially dissolves at least one but not all of the liquids present

@Ayeshaa
You are right. The mixtures contains solids of different densities. So you can use gravity separation.

Could somebody explain how to find the DNA made if primer and template are given?
Take any template and primer as example.

a. Denature the template DNA, add primer in excess, add polymerase and the 4 dNTPs. What is the sequence of the DNA made? Include the primer sequence in the answer. It will be good if you indicate the primer sequence in some other color (or some other way such as bold, underline etc.)

b. What is the sequence of the DNA made if ddGTP replaces dGTP?

c. What is the sequence of the DNA made if dCMP replaces dCTP?
