Very important announcement. Please read immediately.
Hi,
We are working towards improving our search engine rankings so that our site comes before the sites that our copying our Written Updates or sites which are simply copying our site design to look like us . So I tried compiling a list of guidelines that will help us do that with your help and support.
a) The Subject character limit has been increased from 55 to 70. So please use the full name of the show wherever possible in any of the Sticky Topics whether its the Picture Gallery / Archive Mansion / Help Desk.
b) DO NOT use special characters as that doesn't help with readability and also with the search engines. For example please do not make topics like @!~ Qubool Hai Help Desk ~!@ and it can be simply Qubool Hai Help Desk as the subject of the Topic.
c) Please do not use MEMBERSONLY tag for the written updates. This is important if we want to get indexed in the search engines and prove that it was us who posted it first and has been lifted from our site. However I would recommend using NOCOPY code.
d) For all the topics please make sure that you put the Topic Subject into your post also in large fonts. Try to put the month name also in full. Something like this: Ek Hazaaron Mein Meri Behna Hain - Written Update for 19th August 2013
Or Ek Hazaaron Mein Meri Behna Hain - Help Desk
and then follow it with your main content. So that its amply clear to the search engines as well us others also what the post is about.
e) Moderators and Viewbies are requested to update the current topics of their respective forums to comply with the above guidelines. This will increase the relevancy of our Forum Pages and also help us in improving our search rankings which is essential for the success of the forums.
f) Coolbies are requested if they could simply update their past written updates and remove the MEMBERSONLY tag and also update the Topic subject with shows full name.
g) Coolbies are requested to update the "Real Name" field in their Profile. But if someone do not want to put that and rather like to use a Pseudo name that is also fine. The main purpose of doing that is that we will include Microdata for Search Engines to tell them who is the original author of the written updates are.
