Yeah he should've been given his own special space on the screen, after all he was the ultimate karate champ on CID.Will miss him dearly and hope to see him on the screen again after these newbies make an exit off the screen.

Really sad news...really miss him a lot !!!

I don't know what is more important ranks or screen space for an actor like Vivek becoz i m not in his position...but in my position i can say that yeah ranks really matter for me...i dnt dislike Vikas but if his character Rajat doesn't call Duo as "SIR" then surely i will hate him...it means Ranks really matter to some extent...

So i respect his decision & FW lost a good actor !!!

Ranks and screen space are directly proportional to each other when it comes to CID. Rajat has been appointed as a Sr.Inspector, because they needed someone to lead the team when Duo isnt there... Sachin gets more screen space than Freddy because he is senior to him. Dialogues etc are all dependent on the ranks.. There are the guidelines that FW gives to it's dialogue writers and directors, which all depend on the ranks provided. With Vineet as a senior to Viivek, we can only expect Vivek to stand at the back when Vineet and others lead. Same for Freddy. Surely, Vivek realized this sooner than later.

He said he wont be shooting anymore because of personal /divine reasons! FW brought him back the last time, but it doesnt seem to happen this time again.
