This is another khoon case which you all can solve. Hope to see some activity here. If you have already got this fowarding, please don't spoil it for others...you can add some confusion by misleading the others. 😈Ok...here it goes. I am changing it to CID mode for fun.
It is 4;30 PM. CID team receives a call from one Ms Indu saying that her boss Kundan - a lawyer had been murdered.
CID team rushes to the murder spot. It's a bungalow where they find Kundan's laash in his study. Duo collect all the clues, send the laash to the lab, go back to the bureau and explain it to ACP.
Daya writes the points on the whiteboard.
1. The murderer had pierced a long knife through the back of the chair in which Kundan was sitting and it went right through his heart.
2. The place was a mess, but nothing seemed to be lost. Some papers on his desk had coffee stains, but Kundan was not a coffee drinker. There were a couple of gloves in the dustbin in Kundan's study.
3. There were only 3 appointments written in Kundan's diary. Champaklal (2:35 PM), Meet (3:10PM) and Vijay (3:45PM). Indu says that of these visitors Vijay was a coffee drinker.
4. The cup of coffee was found in Indu's dustbin which was outside the study. It was a Cafe Coffee Day's paper cup. Indu says that Vijay entered Kundan's study with the cup in his hands, and twhile leaving he left it at her desk (which was outside Kundan's study), so she threw it away.
5. The knife had no fingerprints at all, but the paper cup was all covered with one type of fingerprint: Vijay's. Salunkhe confirms this.
6. Kundan's watch was broken, probably due to a fight, and it showed the time as 3:50 PM.
Abhijeet suggests that since Vijay was the last guy to go in and the place had coffee stains all over, it was clear that Kundan and Vijay had a fight and that Vijay had to be questioned.
ACP says : Iski zaroorat nahin hai Abhijeet. Indu ko isi waqt arrest karo.
Why? Explain.
(This time I have the answer)
You have to find the one 'clinching evidence' and not possibilities and theories.

It is because ... If Vijay got the time to put the gloves in the dustbin... why didn't he throw the paper cup also in the dust bin??? 🤔 But how did the coffee spill??? and if it spilled when Vijay was in room then why did he come out and throw the cup... ??? 😕 and why didn't Kundan call up someone for cleaning it???

Hmm.. thats not possible...If Vijay thrw the cup in the dustbin... that too a coffee day cup.. he wouldnt waste the coffee 😉😛 the cup was empty when Vijay left... So.. the coffee must have got spilled when Vijay was in... or may be the coffee which was spilled on the table was not coffee day coffee 😆

Arey you all have to explain why exactly ACP jumped to the conclusion that Indu is the killer. It is also possible that Abhijeet is right in suspecting Vijay. (There are Meet and Champaklal too). Vijay and Indu maybe accomplices...

* If Vijay was smart enough to wear gloves while committing the murder, why would he dump them in the dustbin in the same room or touch the cup with his bare hands - both of which would lead to his fingerprints being recovered from the crime scene?

* If the killer murdered Kundan by thrusting a knife from the back of the seat, it was obviously a surprise ambush and therefore no scuffle must've taken place (otherwise, Kundan would've been up defending himself instead of sitting on the chair). So the spilled coffee is not evidence of a struggle, but likely a set-up.

Both these indicate that Indu killed her boss and then scattered misleading clues and details to frame Vijay. Will think more in a while, this immediately came to mind.

I don't understand one thing "4.

"

How Come it did not have Indu's
fingerprints on it ? After she threw it in the dustpin.

Here is What I think happen.

1) After Vijay left, Indu wearing gloves killed Kundan.
2) Then throw the Coffee cup in the dustbin (was wearing Gloves, hence no
fingerprints)
