1 of my fav threads!! after re runs and stories, this thread is a chest of treasures...memories...nostalgia... proud to be one of the generations just before the television changed... can u imagine? we saw the transformation of the tv and we saw the last stages of glory... cid was one of the very few shows which survived and managed to give quality till 2008...

I was born in 1997 so didn't enjoy 90's. But I still watch Amitabh Bacchan's old movies and not the stupid new ones. When I saw that Mile sur new version, I was too depressed. It was 100% off the mark and the song's purity was lost too. Old movies such as of 70's-90's reflect our indian culture and are so pure and natural but now those days will never come back, nice thread visrom di.

Ya the old ramayan was too good and was untouched from the real world, it seemed just like heaven and the Mahabharata too.

I miss those days so much, I don't watch other serials except CID and Adaalat but I miss some reflecting our own culture.

that time the tv was declining sadly... i mean u saw the beginning of the new millenium by the time u turned three definitely...

Nice to see this thread active !!!! Oh I'm in tears right now !!!! Was very stressed out today and so watching my daily dose of Ramayan !! I watch it daily !!!! I'm seeing one video which has been mentioned about on the mytho forum and has a conversation between Yamraj and Ram jii ... and Yamraj tells him that this is a very secret talk and if in case anyone comes in between and sees or listens to out talk .. Ram will give him/her Mrutyu dand .. i.e. death sentence !!! Ram tells Lakhan jii to guard the entrance but after Sage Duravasa comes and on being stopped says that he'll give a shraap to ayodhya which will result in ti being destroyed .. Lakhan ji for the sake of Ayodhya .. decides to interfere between the talks !!! Oh it's such a touching scene !!! The way Lakhan Jii says that his life is not important than a King's promise and he's ready to take the death sentence !!! Oh god !!! I love this and the after few scenes so much !!!! I've seen this scene maybe for some 15-20 times now !!!! I have tears running down my cheeks !!! Arun ji and Sunil Ji are such excellent actors !!! I'm proud to have been their fan !! Just like my CID duo .. even they both are really very special !!! Earlier when I used to see Ramayan it was more of Arun ji for me ... but in the recent days .. when the frequency of me watching Ramayan has increased ... I've become a huge fan of Sunil ji !!! A really huge fan of his !!!! He's seriously such a great actor !!! I always feel bad about the fact that this excellent artist never got his due 😒

anyone who wants to see this scene and is an appreciator of Ramayan ... here goes (Thanks to someone on Mytho forum for reminding me about this scene )
